Babysitting Training Courses

If you are going to get a babysitter, ask them if they have completed a babysitting course.  If not encourage them to take the American Red Cross Babysitting Course.

The Red Cross Babysitting course prepares them for one of their first jobs, babysitting.

This is an excellent course for 11 to 15 year old current or future babysitters.  Boys and girls will learn leadership and responsible babysitting techniques.  Babysitting is a great way to earn extra money but it also takes hard work and preparation.  Topics will include supervision of children, appropriate games and safe play, accident prevention, First Aid, emergency actions, basic care and feeding.  Participants receive a handbook and earn an American Red Cross certificate.

Babysitter's Training shows you how to:

Respond to emergencies and illnesses with first aid, rescue breathing, and other appropriate care.

Make decisions under pressure.

Communicate with parents to learn household rules.

Recognize safety and hygiene issues.

Manage young children.

Feed, diaper, and care for infants.
