Our mission is to facilitate a peaceful transition for the whole family with the birth or adoption of a child. Our services include basic household chores, meal peparation, errands and sibling care. Our doulas are all experienced mothers themselves and have recieved training from experts in the field regarding issues pertaining to the postpartum period. The staff meets regularly with our Director to review the most recent information on infant care and breastfeeding basics. MamaDoula is owned and directed by Lisa Hardy, RN, MSN, a graduate of Yale School of Nursing. Lisa has been active in women's health for ten years and is certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives as a nurse-midwife and is also a certified lactation counselor. Lisa is trained as a doula and childbirth educator and has a passion for providing new famlies with a comprehensive plan so that they can successfully navigate the Fourth Trimester.
