Michelle Schnaars is a certified childbirth educator and labor doula with CAPPA. She is also certified with The Happiest Baby Inc. Michelle began with the desire to share options and information with women and their partners, so they may have a rewarding, happy and healthy pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experience. She started her own business in April 2002. At that time, the goal of Expecting Miracles was to provide resources and referrals for expectant and postpartum families. Expecting Miracles expanded to include childbirth education, breastfeeding support, and labor doula services as Michelle gained training, experience, and certifications. Michelle has assisted more than a dozen couples in childbirth and about two hundred families through childbirth education. She has also helped many moms and babies navigate through some tuff spots during breastfeeding, and provided a few families with postpartum doula support. Michelle and her husband Michael have three daughters. The first two were born in a hospital and the third at home with midwives. Her experiences during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum directed her toward this profession…and she says, “I can’t imagine doing anything else. Working with families is truly a rewarding experience.”
