My (Debbie's) passion for helping babies and their mothers succeed at breastfeeding began in 1983 when my first born son was not gaining weight adequately while he was exclusively breastfeeding. When David was 5 months I was told to introduce formula (in spite of the fact that I was producing lots of milk). He quickly began choosing the bottle over the breast and I was devastated. I had no one to turn to that could tell me how to make breastfeeding work. I now work with hundreds of mothers and babies every year helping them reach their own breastfeeding goals. My private practice is dedicated to mothers and babies just like you who need hands on help with breastfeeding. Just like learning to ride a bike or drive a car, most women need someone right there with them to learn how to breastfeed.
