I have worked as a registered nurse for 30 years, 22 of these as a neonatal intensive care nurse. Over these years I have worked professionally to help mothers of preemies and full term infants to establish successful breastfeeding. In July 2008 I became a certified lactation counselor. In addition to my neonatal nursing, I now work independently as a CLC and offer basic classes in breastfeeding for moms-to-be as well as new breastfeeding mothers.
