I have enjoyed watching moms become empowered as they conquer their insecurities and gain new confidence both by bringing a child into this world and in providing the best for their infant. The joy I receive in watching as moms go from womanhood to motherhood and welcome a new member into the family is indescribable. I became passionate about helping women breastfeed after giving birth to my third child and finding out how difficult it was to obtain lactation help. I had a desire to empower other women to have the birth and breastfeeding experiences they wanted. I became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and on a mission to advocate for women, and to protect their birth experiences, I later pursued my Doula Certification. I continue my work supporting and educating others about breastfeeding through the Grow Our Own LC curriculum I created. The lactation-specific course has been used to educate hundreds of women who aspire to grow in lactation knowledge. I currently teach lactation, attends births, facilitates lactation clinics, and advocate for women in Southern California, where I live with my husband and three children. I am also certifying through CAPPA to become CLE Faculty.
