The Center for the Childbearing Year provides a variety of classes, support groups, and services for expectant couples and families. We also provide training for aspiring doulas and midwives, as well as continuing education programs for professionals who work with childbearing families. Professional certification for doulas is offered through affiliation with DONA International and Continuing Education Credits (CEs) are offered for nurses, doulas, and social workers. The director, Patty Brennan, has been supporting pregnant women and their families as a childbirth educator, doula, and midwife for over 25 years.
