I am so glad you are considering home birth with a midwife! I have been a midwife for the greater Corpus Christi area since 1998. I care for women anywhere within approximately 100 miles of Corpus Christi. I will travel further but this is determined on a case by case basis.
I support and encourage individual choices in childbirth (such as offering water birth and encouraging family participation). For those interested in my services, I offer a one-time consultation visit and risk assessment at no charge. I also offer an information packet, made available upon request. Please feel free to call me if you would like to meet with me or if you have questions.
I am 53 years old and a mother of three grown married children. I am also a grandmother of twelve wonderful grandchildren! And yes, I delivered some of those grandbabies (six of them). Besides being a busy midwife, I am involved in many aspects of Texas midwifery.
I love caring for my clients and helping bring precious children into this world and into their parents' loving arms. I am a Christian, and I consider my midwifery not just a career but also a calling and ministry. It is a real blessing to care for women during pregnancy and childbirth.
Please visit my web site for more detailed information. Apart from meeting me in person, there is no better way to get to know me than to read my clients' birth stories, which you will find on my web site. There you will also find many informative articles about midwifery and homebirth.
