Busy, Busy

I have attended two births in the last week or so. Both of them were really awesome experience that I was glad to be a part of. Then today I drove 25 minutes each way to check on a new mom and her baby twice. She was needing a little extra assistance with breastfeeding.

South Texas Birth Advocate

This Wednesday, October 28th at 11am is a meeting of the South Texas Birth Advocates. We not only promote midwifery and homebirth, but educate woman about normal physiological birth.

Knitting & Birth

I am an avid knitter and crocheter. Some births will be really long. I will occasionally take my knitting with me and work on it. I have recently found that many midwives and doulas do this. I also give my clients a hand knitted hat for their baby.
