
1lb sweet Italian sausage
About a 1/2 cup white wine (add more if you want)
1 medium onion chopped
1 box of Penne (I like to use Penne because it holds the
sauce better)
1 pint of heavy cream ~ Use half and half if you want less
calories
14.5 oz tomato sauce
3 TBS fresh parsley
14.5 oz diced tomatoes ~ use a 28oz can if you really want to
stretch it.
6oz tomato paste.
Saute' the onion a little and then add the sausage and white
wine.
Brown and then drain.
Add the tomato sauce , fresh parsley, diced tomatoes , tomato
paste, a splash or two more of white wine, to the beef and
onions.
Cook on low until warm and add the cream. Heat it up a little
more and add the Parmesan.
This makes plenty of food. It feeds two adults and two
children twice. I serve it with a really good crusty loaf of
bread and a veggie.
