
1 pkg. dried black-eyed peas (soaked & drained)
water to cover
2 large chopped onions
2 large garlic cloves, minced
2 stalks chopped celery
some cooked ham, chopped
1/3 jar dried vegetable flakes
1 can chicken broth
seasoned salt, freshly ground pepper
Bring all to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer till onion
and celery are translucent and beans are tender.
(1 - 1 1/2 hours). I don't like my black-eyed peas mushy.
