
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c Butter Flavored Crisco (not oil)
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
4 eggs
Beat together for 3 minutes.
1 c flour
1 large can any flavor pie filling (I prefer cherry)
1/2 - 3/4 c thinly sliced almonds
Mix in flour and spread 2/3 of the mixture in the bottom of a
greased jelly roll pan.
Spoon on pie filling and spread evenly over batter to about
1/2 inch of rim. Drop large spoonfuls of remaining batter over
pie filling.
Sprinkle with almonds and bake at 350 degrees 30 minutes or
until lightly browned.
1 c powdered sugar
2 -3 T milk
Combine and glaze cooled coffee cake.
