
2 lbs. boneless Boston Butt
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 T soy sauce
1 T sherry
1 T hoisin sauce
freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. anise
2 T olive oil
2 T honey
Cut pork along grain 2" X 1" X 1/2".
Mix together all other ingredients, except oil and honey.
Add pork, tossing to coat and marinate 5 - 6 hours, turning
once.
Drain and reserve marinade.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Place pork strips on a broiler rack and roast 15 minutes.
Combine 2 T marinade with oil and brush both sides.
Reduce heat to 350 degrees and roast 10 minutes.
Brush both sides with honey and roast an additional 10
minutes.
Serve with Sweet and Sour Sauce.
