Regulate diet
Eat healthy food as the baby would be breastfeeding
for at least three months and your milk would
contain what you consume. The food you choose
should consist mostly of high nutrients and low fat,
such as fruits, wholegrains, green vegetables, lean
meat, pastas, etc. Avoid aerated drinks,
coffee, tea and the like where sugar is added.

Exercise
This need not be rigorous, though heavy workouts

and evening for a few kilometers at medium speed.
Your walk should not be less than 20 minutes every

Breastfeeding

faster than those who do not. This could be for the
fact that lactation takes a good number of nutrients
(and calories) from the body for the baby.
Ensure that you breastfeed your baby for at least
six months after birth.
Drink
plenty of water
Drinking plenty of water facilitates the flow of the
milk and the melting of the fat in the body at the
same time. Ensure that you drink at least
eight glasses of water per day, if not more.
Yoga
and pilates
You could adopt any of these specific exercises to
help you lose weight after childbirth. Yoga is
also helpful in fighting depression and overall
anxiety feelings that assail new mothers.
Though yoga should be done early in the morning,
outdoors, at the crack of the dawn, you could also
do the exercises anytime during the day. Just
ensure that you do these workouts daily and
consistently.
