I counted how much I had in the freezer- close to 200 ounces. I am pumping way more than DD drinks. I still worry though about it slowing down and not having enough for her because I had a really low supply with DS. Would you ladies keep pumping as often or would you maybe quit one session? (I currently nurse DD 1-2 times before she goes to daycare and I sometimes pump too because she does not empty the breasts and I feel so engorged - I usually get anywhere between 5-10 ounces, then she has (3) 4-ounce bottles of BM at daycare and I pump 2-3 times at work.) Maybe I am pumping too much and that is why I have so much? Like I said though, it is so great that I have plenty for her now, but I worry it will slow down and I won't have enough.

I would not because I had problems with ds. I had a lot of milk in the freezer with dd, but I did not drop a pupming session until she was almost 8 months old. (I went from 4 to 3).

But, that is just me, and I had huge problems pumping with my first, so I was paranoid with dd.

Sounds just like me! I think I will wait and see later on because if my supply does drop for some reason it is really hard to catch up.

You sound just like me! This time around i have SO MUCH milk! While on maternity leave i'd have to wake up in the middle of the night because i was so full and in pain. I have around 800 ounces in my deep freezer and Zachary is already 13 lbs so he's gaining just fine. With Peyton i'd have to pump today for tomorrow's milk- I could barely keep up! This time it's a different story! It's nice not having to worry about not having enough. I think if you keep up pumping you wont have any problems!

I wouldn't drop a session but I would quit pumping after a feeding. I would manually express some milk so your breast will catch up to DC feeding schedule. If you continue to pump after every feeding your breast will continue to make that much milk and you don't want it to to waste any in the freezer.

Yeah, I'd quite puming after feeding, but I wouldn't drop a nursing session. I say if you have the space in the freezer, then keep storing that milk! At one point I remember having somewhere near 400 oz in my deep freeze. I was able to stop pumping completely at 11 months, and ds had frozen ebm to have at day care (about 6 oz a day) until he was 15 months old!

I did that also. I always struggled with ds to have enough, and with dd I pumped a lot from the beginning and stayed ahead the entire time. She also had ebm at day care for four months after I stopped pumping.

Geez... I wish I had your problem! I have to work really hard at keeping my milk up and my freezer supply is down to 2 bags (5-6 ounces each). Once that's gone, it's gone! And I haven't been able to get my milk up again. Grrrr!
