I was bad. I am back up to 245. DH left this morning though and won't be back until Friday. I can cook whatever I want and that is a good thing. I have a New Years goal of 240 that I set a while back. I have two weeks to lose that 5 pound. Hard but doable.

Dammit, up +.5.

*sigh* I'm being again too, I really think not running is making a huge difference. Now with my back hurting I'm not going to be able to run.

You can totally do 5 pounds! Just keep your eye on the ball. May I ask what your water consumption is like? I regulary do a "water flush" (usually when Ive slacked on my water consumption and weightloss has slowed) and never fails to drop me 8-12 pounds in three four days. It really gives me the boost I need to keep going..As long as I continue to drink the amount of water my body needs for optimal fat burning i will not gain those pounds of water weight back and continue to lose..

A water flush also known as the water breakthrough can be read about in the link below. GOOD LUCK!!

You know, thinking about the last few days, my water consumption has slowed. I will typically drink about a gallon a day and I know I haven't been. That would also explain why my face feels like sandpaper and is on fire. I'm gonna go get another glass right now.

Current weight 160.6

Last week 161.4

Start weight 157.0

Goal 135.0

I'm going to take at look at that water flush thing. Thanks for the link. I know I don't drink enough, it's hard for me to do.

I hope all of you had a good week!

Oh, I checked out the link--it looks like that might be great for me. I do have a loss of thirst and some days I will look back over the day and realize that I haven't had much to drink but never seemed to miss it.

I also like that it gave me a goal or a rule of thumb to drink the water. I need structure to do things like drink water or I just put it off and it ends up all day and I haven't had much.

Great link Milkyway!

NP! I 100 percent beleive drinking half your body weight in cold fresh water every day is KEY to losing and keeping the weight off.

I had heard that 50% rule somewhere long ago. Makes perfect sense. A 125 pound woman probably only needs 64oz. Only makes sense that my 245 needs a gallon. I usually do pretty good. I NEVER leave the house without at least 2 20oz bottles and I keep my glass filled during the day. I know I usually get at least 96 in without even thinking about it.

I decided today that I was going to fill 6 20oz bottles and put them in the fridge for tomorrow. I won't sleep until they are empty. That will give me some incentive to drink them early or I will be up all night peeing.

I tried to do the flush according to schedule--bah! That's tough! I don't know why I don't drink more--I feel like I have to make a conscious effort. I know I need the water though--some nights I feel like I'm choking b/c my throat is kind of sluggy--I think it is when I have post nasal drip but I notice that it happens after a day of not much fluids. Then I also get horrid migraines when I start my period. Someone mentioned that it may be that I'm not getting enough fluids.

Either way, I know I need to drink more. I'm not getting it packed into the time frame they schedule but I'm trying at least. I drank 64 oz. yesterday--I couldn't get that last quart in. I'm going to just keep trying. If I can't pack it in the 1/2 hour in the morning I'm going to try to get my first quart in by lunch. My 2nd quart in by supper and my 3rd quart in by bedtime.

I think that is a worthy goal and a means to do something good for my body. (I also have terribly dry winter skin so I KNOW the water would help so much).

Thanks again for helping me! Maybe take on a new good thing for my body each week! ;)

Great information ladies - I honestly don't think I can drink that much water though or I will puke. I am having trouble getting food down let alone water! I think I will shoot for the 64 ounces for now and then slowly get up to 75.
