I got this website address from Lisa, so I thought I would come and look around and then I saw 'In Loving Memory' and thought that is were I belong.
I have a little girl named Hailey who is almost 19 months. My husband and I found out in Nov. 2005 that we were expecting our second child...we thought everything was good until we got a call the day after our 20 week ultrasound (which was done at 19 weeks). Turns out that my baby boy had a long list of problems that we later found out (via amnio) was from a chromosome disorder called Trisomy 18. Our son just had so many things wrong with him, he would have never had the quality of life that I wanted to give him.
His little heart stopped beating at 21 weeks and I went in to start the induction process (I wanted so bad to see my little boy, hold him and take pictures) but as it turns out that wasn't meant to be. I encountered really heavy bleeding about 24 hours in being induced...bleeding they could not control and I had to go to the operating room for a emergency D&E. I never got to hold Scott Peter, see him, take pictures of him or tell him how much I love him. All this happened a little over a week ago.
Some days are ok, other days are just down right horrible...I miss him so much and feel so cheated.
