Hi, I am the proud mom of a 6 week old. Breastfeeding has been going very well but one breast is much bigger than the other. One breast has a huge supply and the other doesn't. I'm guessing it's because I have been using one more than the other but am wondering how to fix the problem asap.
TIA for your advice.

Well, you could nurse more on the smaller side to "even things out", however, besides being lop-sided, there is not any problem with having more milk from one side.

http://www.breastfeeding.com/forums/images/smilies/welcome.gif I agree that there is no harm: you could start each session with the lesser producer and see if it catches up:-)

I hear your pain! Try pumping, too. That did help me out a bit on my smaller side. BTW-- I was pretty symmetrical pre-birth, and now only three weeks in, one-- yes ONE-- breast, nipple, and areola are almost freakishly larger than the other side. (Sure hope THAT evens out eventually!!)
