My little Avonlea

This is very hard to write my Avonlea was born yesterday at around 3:30. We think she died on Saturday night, I didn't feel movement all and after reading and talking to people I got worried. When my husband got from work we went to the hospital mine is 45 miles away. We found out there was no heartbeat my dr. induced but because my body wasn't ready for labor at 32 weeks I was in labor for 3 days on the end of the 2nd day I still was only dilated a finger tip not even one cm.
They tired a procedure that was very painful but in the morning i was one cm and my broke my water by 10 they gave my a epidural so they could give me the inducing meds double. Then at 3:30 I had her. I got to hold her and dh did my sister and my mom did too. Pictures were taken and I have a memory box with things the hospital gave me of hers. Her cap, gown, foot prints and blanket. Ok thats about all I can write I can't really see what i'm writing anymore. We will be trying again around late summer after my body heals and enough time that we are sure we want to try again.
She had a headfull of brown hair like her daddy. 16 in and weighted 4.6 pounds. She was so tall she looked so much like her daddy.

I'm so glad you got time with her. It sounds like she was a beautiful little girl.

I'm very glad you got to hold her and take pictures to forever remember her by. I'm sure she was beautiful.

I'm so sorry Flora. I am glad that you got time with her but I wish it was under different circumstances; more the kind of time that you wanted, and that we all wanted for you. Hold on to all that you have. I hope peace comes your way soon.

As the name implies..... I am Flora's dh. This week has been a n emotional rollercoaster. I was holding on to the hope that all their machines and technology were wrong. I got to spend a little more time with Avonlea later that night..... but I wish she was here and alive and kicking and driving me crazy right now.... I held her little hand right after she was born, and I could almost feel her squeeze. But the thing that sticks out most is.... as she was being born, and her little head was poking out..... I recognized my own hair..... her hair is just like mine. She's with my grandmother now, watching us and listening to my grandmother tell her all the stories of the shenanigans I used to get into..... and she's prolly playing a guitar of some sort..... she had long fingers.... I can't wait to get there and jam with her.
