With a new year will come a new body for me. My goal is to lose 35 pounds this year. I could stand to lose 40-50. But I am setting my goal at 35 since that is almost what I had lost 2 years ago on WW. My body was looking so much better. My stomach was flatter, my legs skinnier, and even my boobs were a little smaller. I was fitting back into some of my size 10s, down from a 14. I had lost a total of around 22 to 23 pounds at that time. I have since gained it all back, plus a little. My 14s are getting tight now and I vow not to have to buy a bigger size.

Once I meet my 35 pound goal, I will decide how much more I want to lose then. I know that 35 pounds is doable for me because I was almost there before. And I WILL reward myself with a tummy tuck. I have wanted on for a long, long time now. I want a flat stomach with a cute little belly button. I havent had one of those in years now.

Yesterday, I started doing my Walk Away the Pounds video. Its 2.5 miles of walking and jogging in about 30 minutes. I sweat like crazy when I do this. I love it.

This morning I had one egg on honey wheat toast and two slices of bacon. And a cup of orange juice. I think on WW 3 or 4 slices of that bacon was 3 points. I need to get my WW guide books back out to make sure. I am getting ready to get a bowl of grapes. And some more water.

I also done WAtP today. Definately need a shower now. I will do this workout at least 5 times a week.

Im not sure what I weigh right now but I figure its around 180-185. blech I want to get under 150 this year and then see how much more I want to lose from there.

Hey there WTB!
I bet you lose that weight quicker than you realize!
I know what you mean about the 14s getting tight, that is when I started really realizing I had a problem. However I did break down and buy a couple of 16s. So, good for you for not giving and starting up with healthy habits

My food for the day:

Breakfast: 1 egg on plain honey wheat toast (Ill get whole wheat tomorrow or Friday at the store), 2 slices of microwave bacon, and one 1 of orange juice

Snack: 1 cup grapes and 1 lowfat string cheese

Lunch: Healthy Choice pizza bread and a big bowl of steamed veggies (broccoli, carrots, green beans, baby corn and water chestnuts)

Dinner: about 4 ounces of Roast Beef (London broil), boiled potatoes and carrots (around a cup and a half combined) 1 slice of honey wheat bread Dessert: Smart One Key Lime Pie and one teaspoon of white icing.

Snack: 6 graham crackers and a banana

And a ton of water.

I feel pretty good about my choices today. I HAD to have the tsp of icing. If I didnt just go ahead and do it, I fear I would probably end up eating it by the spoonfuls in the middle of the night. I think Im getting ready to start my period soon so I am going to have to get some lowfat chocolate WW desserts to help with the cravings.

Woohoo, Good Luck with your goals WTB! I know you can do this and you'll feel great after you do. A small tip...try substituting a navel orange for the cup of orange juice. I love OJ, but the cals are pretty high, I'd probably cut it with some water or something. Other than that, your food looks great! And if you can afford a tummy tuck, go for it girl. I think that's an awesome reward for losing weight. Have a great day!

Thanks for the tip, BC. I am going to the grocery store today so I will definately stock up on fruits including oranges. My kids love oranges too.

Last night after I posted my food for the day, I got so hungry, like I was starving. I had some crumbled up tortilla chips with salsa. There wasnt much chips but I still felt bad for eating it. But I knew if I didnt have something, I would eat everything.

I think that there is too much time between dinner and me going to bed. And thats why I get so hungry at night. Dinner was at 7:30 last night and I didnt go to bed until 3am. That is just way too much time. I have to start getting into bed earlier. I wish dh would get a day shift job. Second shift sucks.

I think I am going to start eating dinner around 8 or 8:30 and being in bed by 1am. Hopefully that will help.

Whoa mama! You eat at 7 and don't go to bed for another 8 hours. yeah that is too much time to not expect to get hungry.
Also, are you getting enough rest? There is a direct link between lack of sleep and inability to shed the pounds.
That has got to be hard never seeing your dh. Hopefully a better opportunity will present itself in the new year

Steph, yeah, I know thats just too much time between dinner and bed. I think I am getting enough sleep because we do sleep late, but I really want to start getting in bed by 1 or so. Dh is usually home by then to we could still have a few minutes together before I go to bed. He did tell me that a man on day shift is supposed to retire in June and dh was told that he would most likely get that position.

Eating has went well today. I have yet to do my workout but that is coming. Ive been gone all day and need a few minutes to rest first.

Okay, I am disappointed in myself for not exercising. I did do alot of walking yesterday at the mall and the grocery store though. I figure that has to count for something.

This was my food for yesterday:
B----1 cup hot cocoa and a Lean Gourmet lasanga dinner. (weird, I know but Im not really a breakfast food person)
s----1 cup strawberries
I didnt really have a lunch. We went out to eat and at about 6:30 I had a BBQ chicken breast (grilled) with rice and steamed veggies. And a wal-nut cranberry salad. It was 720 calories and 14 grams of fat. It was 1 of the only 2 low-fat meals on the menu. Water to drink.
Later in the evening, probably around 10, I had about 1 ounce of grilled southwest chicken and salsa wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with a sprinkle of low-fat mozzarella cheese and a package of 100 calorie hostess cakes. sooooooo yummy
around 1am I had a Southbeach protein bar and 1 low-fat string cheese
And I drank a ton of water throughout the day.

It seems like so much. But it was pretty much all low-fat, low-calorie. Much better than how I was eating before.

Today so far:

B-----Healthy Choice Chicken Basil panini with 7 baby carrots and fat-free Catalina dressing.
S-----1 cup o.j. (I started feeling shaky so I had to drink something.)
L-----2 slices of low-fat garlic chicken pizza (thin crust) with a salad with 1/2tbsp. lo-fat ranch. Then I ate more salad but added 1/2 cup mandarin oranges, teaspoon walnuts, 1 tbsp cranberries and 1/2tbsp lo-fat raspberry dressing.

Lots of water today too so far. No workout tape but Ive ton alot of cleaning and moving.

You'd be surprised how much benefit you get from doing everyday chores...cleaning, shopping, ect. As long as you are moving, you're doing something. It's great to see that you are noticing when you are hungriest and trying to plan ahead so you don't over-eat. Listen to your body and keep up the good work. It's sounds like you're really on track. I hope your dh gets the job, fingers crossed. Have a great weekend babe.

Ive done better the past two days than I thought I would. Day before yesterday, I ate a ton though. All low-fat and low-calorie, but still. I am going to start carrying a protein bar with me in my car because I got really hungry yesterday and ate out twice. But I did make the right choices both times. I get shaky if I go too long in between meals.

I chased Matthew on his four-wheeler for about half and hour today. And I will do my WATP video tonight. So far today has been good.

I havent posted my food for the past couple of days here although I have been writing down what I eat, as I eat it. I am proud to say that I have been doing pretty well irt eating.

1 scrambled egg, ww toast with spray butter (0 fat or cal), 2 slices bacon, 1 cup mandarin oranges
salad w/lf ranch
New York strip steak (fat cut off), green beans, 1/2c mashed potatoes (made with skim milk and 2 slices of cheese), salad w/lf ranch, 2 slices ww bread w/spray butter and 1 slice provolone
Smart Ones chocolate chip cookie dough dessert
tbsp chopped walnuts and tbsp cranberries

1 SB protein bar and water
1 H.C. philly cheesesteak panani, 1/2 cup rice, 1c greenbeans

Matthew and I walked to the park and played today for exercise. I am already feeling lighter, not so bloated like I used to. I love how I feel when I eat healthy and exercise.

I really need to get a scale. I keep forgetting when I go to Wal-mart.

I am surprised at how well I have done since I started this six days ago. Usually by the second day, Ive done given up. lol But I feel like these are changes I can live with for the rest of my life. Something feels different this time. I dont really feel like Im on a diet. I just feel like Im making better food choices.

Today has been great. I did have some sweet tea today though, about a cup and a half. I am proud to say that I havent had any pop other than a few drinks of Matt Sierra Mist and a drink of Pepsi last night.

B---LG Lasanga meal and water

S---1/2 cup ff cottage cheese with chopped pears

L---ww penne with meat sauce. (I only used a small amount of ground beef and drained it well) and 2 slices of ww bread sprayed with Parkay and sprinkle of parmaesan and a little provolone. and a package of 100 calorie Hostess cakes.

D---same as above, minus the Hostess cakes

I need to get some more fruit and vegetables in today too.

Exercise: major cleaning/vacuuming

Girl, you are on it! That is exactly how I started out...not with a strict diet plan, just the basics...eat better, eat less, and move my ass. As I started seeing results I had more determination and made more changes. Your self esteem goes up tremendously, because you are taking care of you and your body recognizes that. I'm so proud that you are sticking with it and doing a great job! Keep logging your food and moving, you're gonna see results in no time at all. :)

I am still sticking with it here! I am surprised that I have made it this long without binging. I have been really hungry today (period time) but I have stuck with the same amount of food I have been having. I may have to get something chocolate though, to curb the cravings. I still have no idea what I weight or if Ive even lost anything. But ds (who I havent discussed me diet changes with) saw me in my bra and panties yesterday and asked if I had lost weight. He said my stomach looked smaller. lol Maybe it is working. I do need to step it up on the exercise though. I have really sucked at keeping that up.

food for today:
about 1 cup strawberries

Lean Cuisine Chicken Panini with baby carrots

1 package 100 calorie Hostess cakes

tortilla chips and salsa and a SB protein bar

1/2cup orange juice

HC bourbon steak dinner (soooooo good) with a slice whole wheat bread

several glasses of water

Good Day! And that's so cool when you get a compliment like that, it really is. I hope you gave your ds a big squeeze and kiss. :) Definitely think ahead right now while your on your period. I think planning is a big part of avoiding binging. You have the right mind-set. If you want chocolate, than don't deprive yourself...get a healthy version chocolate bar, or even an unhealthy one..just plan for it or around it if you know what I mean (by eating less later, or excersizing). Keep up the good work!

We went four-wheeler riding today and I got a ton of exercise!! I jogged to keep up with Matthew while he rode. Matt and I walked quite a way up a path and back. And I done a ton more walking. I was so wore out when we got back I had to take a nap. Eating today was pretty good too.

food for today:

LC Philly cheese steak panini (I just cant get enough of those things. They are sooooo good.)

roast beef and provolone on whole grain bun, with 2 pickles.

low-fat string cheese and chips and salsa

HC Salisbury steak dinner with roasted potatoes and mixed veggies

1 cup cheerios w/skim milk.

I am really proud of the food choices I have been making. Yesterday, though, I did have a honeybun, which was 10 grams of fat and 200 calories, my first real "cheat" since starting this. Not the best choice but not the worst either. Thank goodness all the tortilla chips are gone now. God, those things were delicious. I was good about pacing myself with them, but I know they are high in fat/calories. The salsa is fat-free though.

All in all, today was a great day.

LG lasagna with 1 slice ww bread

Today has started out well too.

LC chicken basil panini and some about 3/4 cup chicken noodle soup with 5 crackers

Okay, I have been doing pretty well with my eating habits, except for today. I had a huge-ass cheese burger and, damit, it was good! About 500 calories and over 36 grams of fat on a bun. But the good thing is, I only had one. lol Im not going to beat myself up over it though. I realize that eating one cheeseburger doesnt ruin the progress I have made so far. And the rest of my day was decent, not great, but decent.

Its back to healthy eating tomorrow though.

I had a bad day yesterday--only it had to do with the Nutterbutters and cheese ritz crackers I got my kids for snacks! One bad day won't kill us though--I'm back on top of things today :) We also ate out at Red Robin last week and I had a huge cheeseburger too (and worth every bite lol!). One meal is fine as long as its just one meal!

I am still working on healthy eating. I havent been doing perfectly, but I am definately not doing terrible. I had 3 spoonfuls of icing last night. So heavenly, but I was disgusted with myself afterward. I have been working alot of fruit and veggies in though. I have yet to get started back on exercising.

My clothes are fitting a little better now.
