Yeah, my kids all went through that stage..Maddy is 17 months and does it all the time..She's just here for the milk..no talking. Sometimes she doesn't even want me rubbing her hair anymore. She's actually nursing right now and when I looked down at her she smaked me in the face and said "No mommy"

Okay that is hysterical...that is why this site is so good, it is amazing to see that sometimes what we think is so abnormal is normal!

At a certain age, Jack was very distractable and didn't like to be looked at or talked to when nursing.

My SIL in was being bittten by my niece, so she called a laction nurse , whose advice was that she was angry the my SIL wasnt looking at her and thats why she was bitting , I guess Jania isnt like her cousin

All three of my boys wouldn't / don't look at me while BFing. If they do see me looking at them, they look away. And if I get lucky enough to get a smile from them, if just breaks their suction and they look away and get back to business. I've always thought it was cute how focused they are on "the yummy".

LOL. Kieran does this sometimes. But he smacks my face away so he can play with my hair.

Leah only smacks me to get attention. If I try to read or work or do anything else other than interact with her while she's nursing, I get smacked.
