Hi everyone. I'm new to this board. I lost my first child to pneumonia. Here's my story.
When I was 19, I found out I was pregnant. Me and my boyfriend were so excited, even though we were young. 9 months later I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on September 23,1989. He was everything I had ever wanted. 10 beautiful little toes, and 10 beautiful little fingers. His name is Caleb Alexander. He lived out his life for 6 amazing months and then got sick with a cold. He was so sick he had to be put in the hospitol. He had pneumonia. He passed on April 7th, 1990. Since then, I have given birth to 3 wonderful kids, but that hole in my heart will never be filled again.
My darling baby boy, I love you. One day I will hold you again.
Thank you for listening

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son.
Can I ask a you a question...does the pain of lossing a child lessen over time, or does it still sting years after?
It has been nearly 5 months since I lost my son, so I hope to hear that this feeling of heartache and emptyness kind of goes away.
Anyways, I am so happy to hear to that you 3 other children to love!
I often tell my little boy to watch out, because when it is mommy's time to come to heaven I am going to grab ahold of him and never let him go...

Hi Kristen. I am so sorry that you lost your son. Its a process that took me a while to heal from , but everyone is different. Sometimes I will hear a certain song, or smell a scent that reminds me of him. When I think about it now, I am thankful that I got to spend 6 months with my son, and I cherish all of that time. First I was heartbroken, then I was angry. Now I am still sad, but in a different way. I'm sad that I couldn't watch him grow up, but I am happy that he is with god and I WILL see him again. One thing that I do, is that I write to him in a journal everynight just telling him how my day went, how is brothers and sister are, and just reminding him that his mommy loves him. That really helped me because I can write to him and sort of keep contact, ya know? My prayers are with you!
