Okay,

So we are totally weaning, I tried the gradual and she just fusses even more, but starting friday we officially started to cold turkey wean. I let her nurse for 5 minutes that night for bed and then told her no more chi chi. Then saturday and saturday night she got no chi chi at all. She cried a bit, but she cuddled when we fell asleep, and guess what she slept through the whole night and only woke once to tell me no mommie...I was hugging her and she didn't like my arm on her. She hasn't asked once for any chi chi today, so hopefully tonight will be lost easier. I honestly think for dd cold turkey weaning is our best way, she isn't fussy at night and she slept...that made me happy! Just wanted to share!

I am glad it is working out for you and your daughter. Every child is so different.

Did you have any trouble transitioning to a bottle or did you always nurse and the baby just took the bottle without any problem?

We never really did bottles unless we were traveling, she didn't like them, she actually went for cups with straws at 6 months and nursing. She even prefered having her bm from the cup cold when she was at the babysitters.

That's great! I think I will be weaning cold turkey. In a way I will miss it, but dd is 2 1/2 and the ONLY time she nurses is at 3 a.m. I am SO ready for a solid night's sleep! I may even go to an overnight women's retreat at church. I've never been away from her for more than a few hours :)
