Cleaning the Medela Harmony?

I was given the harmony (i know i know no used pumps...but...) Now what i need to know is can all the parts go into a microwave steam sterlizer?

Also, I tried it (im still preggo 37 weeks) and it seemed almost TOO gentle? I used a older medela minielectric and felt like it would suck my nip right off LOL. Perhaps its b/c I'm not a sensitive yet...Just wondering if anyone has thought the same?

Gonna get some valves and try it...Thanks for any help ladies! Can't wait to have my lil man to start this new adventure!!

I think excessive nipple stimulation while pg can induce conctractions. I am not sure if I would be trying it. I may be reading your post completely wrong, though.

You can call Medela to find a place to buy new tubing. I am not sure about sterilizing the diaphram (sp?) on the inside of the pump, if the Harmony has that.

DON'T try it unless you want to go into labor! Nipple stim WILL start contractions! Good luck and congrats! It will seem hard at times but DON"T quit... it is so worth it!
