Guess I can say I'm not new..though its been a good year and a half?...but I'm back on here again as I am expecting #2 now (4 mo) and getting ready for the BF extravaganza soon! But I wondered if anyone else had suggestions for a double stroller? Or if anyone opted out of it?
A friend of mine is graciously letting me buy her used, but very new, infant carrier (was $140 new/i'm buying it at $50), but it goes with a specific stroller, the Graco Quattro Tour Duo Double Stroller. Its kinda spendy, but my friend swears by it as she has three kids of her own. Anyone have this one and love it/hate it? I was considering the one where the kids can sit or stand in the back by One Step Ahead, but haven't heard anything good about it.
Anyone care to share their thoughts?!!
Thanks!
Leah

I am not sure, I am looking for a double stroller also though!
You may want to post this in the debate board, there is mroe traffic there.

We have twins and opted not to get carrier car seats. So I don't know if our double stroller fits them. We have a Graco DuoGlider LX Stroller. It is wonderful. I can steer it with one hand and it glides like butter. The back seat reclines all the way flat and the front seat goes back about 45 degrees. They are stadium seated so they can both see. And there are cup holders for everyone--including mom! It is a wonderful stroller and very inexpensive.

For my twins, I have the same stroller gingerbread mentioned. Only trouble is, can't get to storage bin when using it with the carseats. but if you're using it for a baby and toddler, what your friend is selling you is probably perfect. You can also try craigslist.org in your area for a stroller.

I have the regular old Graco Duoglider and I like it. I had a really old one which was awful and my friend gave me this one after her kids outgrew it. I like it a lot. The only complaint I have it that I don't think I can snap my infant seat into it, which actually only mattered for the first few months (when it was winter here anyway).

I got a double stroller when I had my 2 kid...and I REALLY wish I had the money back.
I discovered babywearing which takes up much less room in my car, is easier to negotiate at the mall, or wherever else I am...and I NEVER have one arm holding an unhappy baby and 1 hand pushing a stroller.

I decided to go with a stroller that has (what I call) a bench in back. I figured I would only use a double stroller now a few months since dd2 was getting older and would want to be walking more. I forget the name of it. I got mine at Sears and I think I have seen them at Walmart. Sometimes dd1 stands on the footrest in back and I push all 3 kids. It's hard but the kids think it's great.

I also bought the Graco DuoGlider LX Stroller when my second was born. I liked it, though, I only got to use it for a few months before my oldest decided she would rather walk. It is bulky, which is to be expected, I think. At the time we owned a Volkswagen...so as you can imagine, transporting it was not fun! :) We used it to carry just about everything...even pumpkins when we went pumpkin picking!! Honestly, I would more recommend it if you go for walks regularly and for outdoor outings than for everyday use, though. I prefer to carry, or with my first two, use a backpack. It can be a bit bulky for stores.
