Hi all!
My DS just turned a year yesterday and I have been looking around the internet for some advice on what a daily diet for a breastfed"toddler" should look like, but I have had no luck. So, if you all are willing, what deos your toddlers diet look like in the course of a day? Thanks so much everyone! i am proud to be a part of this group now:D

Right now mine are eating a lot of fruit and cheerios for breakfast. It is easy and a good way to start the day for us. They usually have yogurt, carrots (chop small for my 14month old), and cheese. For lunch lately it has been a lot of protein. They both seem like they are stocking up for a growth spurt. For dinner whatever we are having for the night. Of course Garrett (my youngest) is still nursing so he has some milk and water flavored with juice. Hayden (who will be 4) drinks milk, water, or juice.

DD is now 21 months old, she likes all fruits. Mostly bananas, peaches, kiwi and avocados. She Also eats plenty of veggies everyday, her fav is corn, green beans and carrots. Baked chicken, tuna, egg whites, cheese. We avoid fried or processed food all together :)

When my girls were toddlers and still nursing, they were given fresh fruits and veggies cut up really small, rice, little bits of meat or fish, etc. We stayed away from dairy, wheat, and soy b/c of allergies in the family, but they weren't given much to drink since they were nursing plenty.

Rebekah eats whatever I eat. If I have oatmeal for breakfast, so does she. She's learned how to say "chocolate." I'm so proud!:D

At a year Jack ate one jar of baby food (stage 1 or 2) a day and maybe a few cheerios. Other than that he got breastmilk. He still nursed at that point all the time.

My 16mo daughter eats fruit and Cheerios for breakfast with watered down juice. Lunch is usually yogurt, cheese, stage 2 baby food (fruit/veg), whatever I'm eating and dinner she eats whatever I make or she'll eat one of those gerber graduate meals with the meat/veg/potatoe or pasta. She usually will only eat half the meal. So i save the rest. We still bf quite a bit throughout the day and night. She drinks watered down baby juice and whole milk at night. She loves chocolate and cookies though I try not to give that stuff. She'll have a bite of what I am eating. She still gets up a couple times a night to nurse.
