My DD is 16mos old and has a milk alergy.
I send in to DCP 2 bottles for her, one has 3oz and the other has 2oz. The other times of the day she drinks only water.
DD nurses in the morning before DCP, when we get home and to go to sleep at night. Wakes up at 1am, nurses again.
I'm wondering if this is enough for her, or should I start her on Soy Milk at DCP? Maybe give her 5oz. of BM and then later in the day give her the soy.
Or should I just let to be and keeps things as is?

I would give her soy milk during the say if you not with her if you are working so she would get use to the taste of soy milk. Because when she get older and then you stop breastfeeding then she would might like the taste of soy milk. I would get her started on it now so she used to it and the tast and still give her breastmilk. I had to do that to my boy..

DD who also has a dairy allergy has been drinking soy milk since she was 13 months with no issues. I give her Silk. I was down to two feedings at about 16 months and the rest of the time she got soy and no more than 6 ounces of water a day. Hope that helps.

Since she is getting BM three or more times a day, she is getting all she needs for fat, calories and protein. So, no I would not send soy milk.
This link addresses cow milk, but insert soy milk to read that BM is still a better source of nutrition and that there is no need for any additional milk if baby is nursing 3-4 times per day.

BM is better, but there is nothing wrong with soy. You might try it and see how she likes it. 5 oz seems like an awful little amount for during the day. That's when she's up and running around, and should stay hydrated.

I would think that would be your choice. I don't think, nutritionally speaking, think she *needs* soy milk, and water is just fine (IMO).
however, if you want to transition to it, or to introduce it, I don't think there is anything wrong with that either. I would just make sure she got her BM first.
