how much it would hurt, physically and emotionally to loose a baby. I miscarried this weekend and just feel this immense sadness. My DH is sad, but seems to be moving on quite well. DS is only 2 and has no idea (which is a blessing). I just feel lonely and sad...not a good combination.

I'm sorry for your loss. And it is true men and women deal with loss differently.

I remember with this last loss, it didnt seem to effect DH at all, I dont think men can understand the closeness that us women feel for our children, expecally when were pregnant with them.
I know the emptyness that your feeling. I really with there was something I could do.

My son was 2 when I miscarried too. Of course he didn't know what was going on, but I'm a SAHM so he pretty much saw my emotion all the time. When he'd notice me crying, he'd tilt his head and with a concerned look say "awww" and then bring me a kleenex. Once he realized that those two things brought a smile to my face, he'd bring me another kleenex, and another, until there were 20 of them and I had to laughingly tell him to stop! It was the first time I had seen the caring side of him come out so it was special between us, and honestly it did more for me than DH, though he tried. I tell you though, I was so grateful that I miscarried AFTER I already had a child rather than first, because he gave me something positive to focus on and be grateful for every day.
Be aware though that it may get harder before it gets easier. For me, every milestone leading up to the due date was difficult. You might consider getting some books from the library. There are so many out there, and even though they don't give you any answers to your personal situation, I found them helpful mentally.
I'm in a place now where I'm happy to talk about it if it helps someone else, so feel free to pm me if you'd like. Good luck to you.

Thanks you Ladies....
DH had to go out of town yesterday and will be back late tonight. I am doing a bit better today and just immersing myself in work. Yesterday I took DS to school, worked half a day and then just had half a day to myself before picking him up. It was very relaxing and gave me time to think. Today is a new day and I feel better...who knows what tomorrow will feel like? Right now I'm only going to focus on today.
DS has been a true blessing. He is just a ball of energy and keeps me running. He has been giving me more hugs and kisses lately...I think he is aware that mommy needs some love. They are so intuitive!
Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts.
