Well this morning I woke up and had a bowl of strawberry chex with skim milk. Not sure how much that was but my goal is to eat better then I normally would healthier. So I want to write down everyday what I ate.

I forgot I had a chocolate rice krispie treat too so tomorrow morning I want to start off eating very healthy.

Your off to a fine start. The rice krispie treat is fine ED. Just stop at one. No big deal! 1 question though, why did you eat it? Were you hungry?

Oh good, I see you started a journal :) I didnt' know your name is Michelle! Kashi Go-lean is a really yummy high fiber cereal--it would fill you up more than Chex. Clean out your cupboards and get rid of the junk! The kids don't need it either :)

I know but hubby is my problem. I cant get him to diet with me so I am doing this on my own. I am going to buy things he likes that I dont for him. the kids really dont eat much snacks they love fruit. its me that buys it though. shame on me. yep its michelle IRL. lol

ok for lunch I have a salad with ranch one bowl. and I made a little bag of bistro deluxe it was good.
I really like toaster waffles for bfast so I dont know what to eat now.

If your going to have chocolate, make it dark chocolate. It's better for you. Try to have maybe some hot cocoa or something like that to curb that craving.
I used to be the same way mama, fight the urge.

Kashi makes a fantastic toaster waffle. FANTASTIC! My kids and DH even love them.
You can get honey oat, blueberry, and plain. YUMM-O!
Then get lite syrup.

Was the ranch lite? Lots of hidden calories in plain ranch dressing.

Honey don't cut it out completely. Trust me, just have it in moderation and you will be fine. Dieting shouldn't be a battle, it really shouldnt even be called that. It's healthy eating. Lifestyle change if you will (easier said than done I know, I need to practice what I preach).

I just wanted to throw this out---The South Beach diet is a really good book to read (I got it on-sale at Barnes and Noble for about $7 for the hard copy). Mostly what it suggests is getting rid of all the processed carbs and eating lean meats, eggs, veggies etc. The one thing I didn't like about WW is that I was still finding ways to eat crap in my diet and still be under points lol!

Oh, another thought--if you are just having a salad for lunch, throw some protien in there, like chopped ham or turkey, almonds or a sliced hard-boiled egg, cheese or some beans, chickpeas etc. It will fill you up and keep you from getting hungry so soon afterwards.

I did have chopped ham in it. the lunchmeat thats ok? yeah I think I am going to just cut out the junk and eat healthier I dont want to do points anymore you know. but I need to eat healthier.

it was regular ranch. I am going to switch to fat free italian i like it and good for me. i hate lite ranch. I love blueberry and strawberry waffles. thanks so much. what things do you eat for bfast and lunch that are healthy?

if I have it I will eat it all. I just had a whole mr goodbar and didnt even realize it. I had to get it out of my house to start fresh tomorrow. lol

Check the sugar content on the dressing. The lite tend to have more sugar (to make up for the bad taste lol!). Honestly, if you don't use much, I'd stick with the regular ranch if you like ranch. Italian dressing probably is better, depending on the type of oil they put in it. Olive oil is really good for you. Okay, I'll shut up now and try and get laundry folded and off the couch before dh comes home. He's coming home early with a good excuse--we don't have any water!

REALLY?! I've never looked at the sugar in ranch. Wow...I think I will stick to my balsamic vinagarette by Newmann's Own. YUMMY!

So, how did your day go :) One thing you might want to think about doing is taking some 'before' pics to help you stay motivated. That way when you do lose, you'll see how far you've come! I've taken before 'gasp' bikini pictures, and hoping in a few months to take some more just to see the progress.

its 230 here and I am pretty full and doing great. I am making steak and baked potato and salad for dinner. I am going to do the pics thing thanks I hate looking in the mirror and getting my pic taken these days another reason I am dieting. I weighed myself yesterday my starting off weight I cant believe it is 218. I have gained alot. I was 223 when I started ww before kyler then got down to 190. my goal for right now would be to get under 200. then go from there. but I CAN DO THIS!

I had a little piece of steak for dinner and baked potato and a small salad.
I am starving so I am having a lean cuisine pizza tonight for a pm snack. but thats alot better then what I usually eat.

I am SO craving the pasta I made for the kids. Dh and I just had chicken thighs with sauce on top and sauteed zuchinni. I hate to admit this, but I bought brownie mix at the store tonight. Usually dh and I eat these after bed, but I am about to make it and share it with ALL the kids. Less calories for me lol! I haven't had chocolate or many carbs in forever and I need somthing for my pms cravings lol!

I bought brownies a few weeks ago and I made them the other night before I started this and thank god they werent cooked all the way and I had already put frosting on them. so yeah they went in the trash. if there is brownies in my house I will eat them all.

bfast today banana and bowl of special k and skim milk.

You asked about things to eat for bfast and lunch - I eat oatmeal - maybe you don't like it, but I either have a flavored instant pack or I can have a HUGE bowl of the plain quick oats with pumpkin pie spice, a smidge of vanilla, and cinnamon - it is delicious! Otherwise egg beaters are good, south beach diet bfast wraps if you need convenience. I don't knw what else - I pretty much eat the same thing everday and am not bored yet (I know I will eventually though so thanks ladies for the kashi suggestion!) As for lunch I almost ALWAYS eat a WHOLE bag of frozen veggies (I steam them in those glad steam bags - YUMMY) with garlic salt and then I also have a Lean Cuisine pizza or Lean Cuisine Panini. I also have lots of apples and oranges throughout the day. My rough part is supper. I am too stressed out by then to worry about cooking and eating right. Anyway, keep it up Michelle - I hope I and the other ladies here can be of great support to you!

That is probably true - I have heard that also, but I am so darn picky so it is hard. I need structure at least for my bfast and lunch at work - it might just be a control thing I don't know :) I do need to change it up a bit, but haven't had time to really think about it.

Good job honey. Watch the banana's though. They are good for you but depending on the size they could be as much as 200 calories. Try to get in some berries, those are really good in fiber and are lower calories.

1500-1800 Calories per day for a nursing mama.

Grapes are ok. Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, things like that are really, really good.

dinner last night we had honey dijon pork tenderloin I had one piece, baked potato and green beans.
then I had some crackers and cheese dip not much a small amount. I am so proud of myself I am doing so good especially with only eating one serving of it.
bfast I had 2 regular toaster waffles strawberry they were 100 calories each and I had spray butter on it no syrup.
right now my husband is cooking bacon and eggs for him and the kids and it smells so good but I wont do it. he offered to make me homemade waffles I was like uh I cant I am watching what I eat. yeah for me. this is day 3 I want to weigh myself just to see. I might later. lol
thanks to this place I can write down everything and not forget.

I had a glass of sweet tea thats my weakness. and hubby got me 3 small chocolate covered cherries for doing so good this week. he said you need one day to benge a little.

Have you set any mini goals? I think getting to 200 would be a great one :) Then you could give yourself a small reward! I feel like I have to start all over again today. I think I am setting a mini goal for 155 (haven't seen that number in years).

yes my goal is to be 199 right now its my mini goal. I cant wait to hit it and keep going. I think when I hit 200 I will get a few new outfits and maybe a nice pigout dinner. lol
I know I should be having maybe one day to eat whatever but if I do that one day its hard to go back. I want to stay eating healthy it feels great. every once in awhile a little treat like I did sunday I had 2 small chocolate covered cherries and a small glass of sweet tea. I dont mind drinking just water every once in awhile I need tea and chocolate. lol'
ok enough rambling off to lay kyler down he is asleep in my lap nursing.

For me I find one full day of eating 'whatever' isn't working out. I would say its okay to have a celebratory meal, but keep it to one plate and load up on veggies!

Your doing so good mama! Keep it up. Do not be surprised after a big loss this week that you may have a smaller one this week. Sometimes our bodies do that.

That's probably when you hit a plateau. At that time you need to change up your diet for a few days to get over it and then continue on. When you get there, I will be here to help you!

It's so good isn't it! I love watermelon anytime of year. I went to Trader Joe's and they had little baby watermelons. Perfect size for me. It fit in a diaposable ziploc container. I ate the whole thing for breakfast! Love it, love it, love it!

A "bad" dinner every once and a while isn't bad mama. You need to live life. It's really all about moderation and changing your lifestyle.
I started a new thing at home. Every week we are going to try something new, something healthy. This week is avocado's. Next week, I am not sure yet. I will serve it at every meal and everyone has to take a least 1 bite.
Maybe you can do something like this too? This will help in your lifestyle change and get the whole family involved without them even knowing...

We're trying a recipe for coconut chicken this week. Unfortunately, a lot of my new recipes aren't a hit with kids lol! But, we expect them to try it anyway! ED, I hope you enjoyed your pizza lol :) Its one of my favorite foods!

I love pizza and I just didnt want to cook so we ordered pizza. I had 4 pieces pretty good for me usually I cna eat a whole medium if not more.
thanks ladies. I like that idea but my daughter doesnt go for anything new. lol most of my fmaily doesnt.

Yum - pudding is something I kind of forgot about until recently - I didn't realize they are so low in calories - I love to eat it with cool whip - now I want some - darn you! Just kidding - have a good day!

How is the WW ice cream? I just bought two of the smart ones desserts and hope they are good. I am hoping they help me at the end of my work day when I start feeling like I "have" to have sugar!

Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? They have awesome strawberries for much, much less.

OH MY! That sounds FABULOUS! - I didn't even know they made low sugar PB - shows you how sheltered I am - is there a particular brand I need to look for? Thanks! I can't wait to try it! When 3/4 pm comes around I crave sugar so badly I feel sick!

yes we do! I love sweet tea that helps too and its not too bad in calories. I love the brownie sundae in ww desserts so good.

They are in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dublin, Kettering, Westlake, and Woodmere according to their website.
Anyway, their produce is less priced (along with other yummy food)than your local market and much tastier IMO.

Oh, and make sure you are drinking enough water! It will help you fill up. Supposedly our bodies can mistake thirst cues for being hungry (or so 'they' say lol!). I personally like to fill up during the afternoon slump with a skim latte--homemade of course!

Your doing good mama. Did you see the new light pringles? Only 70 Calories in 14 chips. I seen them at Target. I don't know about the taste but if you tend to buy them, maybe check them out!

I love the WW desserts! The meals are great as well. I also love the special K bars ( blueberry). I need to get off my but and exercise lol. I am still stuck at 162. I think my body is holding onto the rest. I'm so glad to hear how well you are doing!

I have tried to keep a food journal a few times, it really helps doesn't it! I might need to start doing that. When I first started exercising I was eating like normal, but now after almost three weeks of working out 6 days a week I am starting to want to eat less so I can see the results of all my hard work!

It's great to have this forum for support!

Yeah for you! I am still stuck at 150-151 - uuugghhhh!!! (I think I have been that for WEEKS - I am only losing about .25-.5 pounds per week/every two weeks)
So, how are you gonna celebrate when you reach your first goal ? :)

I didn't know WW makes cheese! Awesome - I have never seen it. Cheese is a big downfall of mine, but then I don't drink milk so sometimes it is okay in moderation :)

yes I didnt know that ww made cheese either. I bought american cheese but they have string cheese and other cheeses atleast here in ohio at krogers they do. also I bought ww cream cheese so good. I had some with my ww bagel that was my bfast snack.

we never had a krogers where I use to live just giant eagle I find myself finding more at krogers. I love the 100 caloires snacks too those help alot.

I didnt really do too bad but nothing I want to write about. we are ttc right too so hoping that happens for us.
I am the same weight today as last week 206.

Please don't stop with your wl because you think you might be pregnant. it's still ok if you diet. since you have gotten nothing but -'s just assume you are not pregnant and continue living like you were before. i'm afraid you are getting to hopeful and if you do get af i'm afraid on how it will affect you.
