View Full Version : Amy's Journal

Okay ladies, I'm convicted that I need to start up a new journal :)

The plan for today is

Breakfast: skim, sugar free latte, fried egg, and a couple turkey sausages

Lunch: veggie sausage wrap

Dinner: chili (mmmmmm!) with shredded cheddar

Snacks: cheese, sliced red peppers--I don't tend to snack much

So far this month I've been losing weight, but not as much as I'd like. I need to up the water in-take and decrease the coffee in-take. Since dh gets home early afternoons right now, I've been having a second latte in the afternoons. I don't really NEED it, and I think if I can cut it out that will help. Although I don't think the extra cup of skim milk during the day is really killing me.

Amy I think I am just going to copy what you eat everyday just a day late. Yummy girl!
Good job on losing. IDK what to say about the afternoon latte. I don't think it's that bad for you. Maybe have it every other day?

Flutterby

Well, today went okay. I did end up having that second latte. It is so COLD here and I used it as a snack for the day. I guess that is one thing I'm really not willing to give up (until summer anyway!). I think I had too much cheese today--that is another 'big' weakness! I have some pretty serious pms cravings going on right now--lets just say its a good thing we don't have any brownies or Ben and Jerry's (or both!) right now in the house lol!

So, starting weight for this month was 166.2.
Today I'm at 161.4.

I was hoping to see a faster loss while trying to go low-carb. But, if I can go slow but steady, I think the weight has more of a chance to stay OFF. I've got a wedding to go to in August and I want to look fabulous. I'm aiming for a solid size 8 (and dare I even dream of a size 6?). Right now I'm about a 10.

I'm just gonna blog this here too. I'm thinking of weaning dd cold turkey. We pretty much avoid nursing during the day. And the only time she nurses is 3 a.m. I haven't had a solid nights sleep in years. Dd is almost 2 1/2 and dh wants her OUT of our bed. I tend to agree since its just getting to be a pain. So, tomorrow morning when she appears bedside, I'll get her a drink of water and take her back upstairs (or have dh do it because she goes down easier for him). I'm a little sad because she's my last baby and is growing up so fast, and yet, I'm ready to be done nursing and I'm ready for the next phase of girlhood (yea, potty training!).

Today's going well, thanks! Last night was a success. Allison appeared at my bed at 12:20 this morning. I gave her a drink of water and took her back upstairs, sat with her for a few minutes, laid her down, and was back in my own bed at 12:33 (yes I kept track lol!) So, I've not nursed since yesterday at 3 a.m. I'm a little sad, but these last midnight sessions have gotta go. I wouldn't wean if she was still really dependant on it during the day. But I'm dreaming of a full night's sleep soon!

Foodwise--

Breakfast: Skim latte, a couple pieces of bacon

Lunch: another skim latte (workin on it now), then probably the leftover chili

Dinner: chicken and spaghetti sauce (kids will have noodles to go along), sauteed zuchinni (yumm!).

Its a good thing tomorrow is a new day! We had our twice monthly dinner at the Harris's house--not much health food there. For dinner we had fried chicken, creamy potatoes, pasta salad and cheesecake, and garden salad! Ah well, I'll get back on track tomorrow!

Dd hasn't nursed now for over 48 hours. We'll see how tonight goes. Hopefully she'll sleep all night. She started to fuss about nursing this morning as I was sitting on the couch trying to drink my coffee and read the newspaper, so I immediately jumped up and distracted her and she was fine for the rest of the day. I don't think it was even really about nursing--she just needed my attention. I'm a little sad, but with a little encouragement, I think she was ready. Is it silly to want one last nursing session to remember it by? I'll never nurse again and I think that is a little sad :(

Flutterby
01-26-2008, 07:23 PM
Breakfast: 2 pieces of bacon, skim latte
Lunch: veggie burger w/a good slice of melted cheddar on top
Snack: skim latte (just CAN'T give it up!)
Dinner: meatball soup made w/ turkey meatballs and veggies
Dessert: may have some ff/sf pudding w/ lite Cool-whip if the mood strikes me.

Got af today--no wonder I've been so cranky lol! Busy painting ceilings in the house today--my arms got a great workout! More to do tomorrow. Why did the previous ownder paint EVERYTHING with glossy paint???? Much to do before we can put it on the market.

I let dd nurse today--I dont' mind nursing once a day, as long as she's not using me for a pacifier at night. She slept ALL night last night. Dh and I didn't get up until 9 a.m. Its nice that the kids can get up, put a video on, make some toast and pour some cereal. My 8 yo. helps the younger ones. So, if dd is going to make a habit of sleeping all night (she was so proud and told me about it several times lol!), I may just have to start gettin up early and doing a workout video or two. That would probably help speed up the weight loss.

Bummer day. Breakfast was fine: 2 eggs skim latte
Lunch: Potluck at church (why oh why did I go back for seconds???)
Snack: skim latte
Dinner: water (still full from lunch!)

This is what happens--I do great for a few weeks, then I say 'oh, one meal won't hurt', then it just goes downhill from there. Ugh! I HAVE to lose 20 pounds before August and the wedding!!!

Elizabethdaisy

Today was kinda a strange eating day.

Breakfast: skim latte, egg, 2 turkey sausages, 2 slices cheddar cheese cooked in the skillet till krispy

Lunch: skim latte, munched on dill pickles from the open jar

Snack: Skim latte

Dinner: bowl of meatball soup (turkey meatballs and lots of veggies, a few noodles)

I've been trying to get more water in. I really need to pack in the veggies too. I don't really feel satisfied from dinner, so may make a salad, or just have raw cold cucumber slices.

We're trying to make a pretty major decision--whether to stay in or leave the navy after this enlistment. We're really leaning towards staying in, even though it would mean one more sea tour. We'd probably be here in WA for another 1 1/2 years, then move to SC for 3 years, then hopefully back here until retirement. This is a HUGE decision and we really need to make it ASAP.

HI! I just found your journal today or I would have followed along before.
how is today going? Just wanted to say keep it up - you can do it! (we ALL can do it :)
We all have our days/weeks - Some days I feel like just giving up since i have already messed up, but that is just self-defeating so I have to come here to pick myself back up.

Flutterby
01-29-2008, 07:51 PM
Why do I do this to myself??? I did SO well all day, then made something I LOVE for dinner, but decided I was just going to have a big salad and a chicken thigh. Well, when I was cleaning up, the fettucinni alfredo was still sitting on the stove and I had a whole bunch! And, now I can't even enjoy it cause my tummy hurts now :( Why is it SO hard? I've only got around 25 pounds to lose, but I don't know if I can.

Flutterby

Just wanna check in!

Breakfast : skim latte

Lunch: 1 1/2 veggie burgers w/ cheddar cheese, skim latte (I'm outta sugar free vanilla syrup, so there ends the coffee drinking till I get more lol!)

Dinner: will make the kids spaghetti and I will probably stick to a big bowl of salad w/ ham, feta cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, and maybe some toasted almonds, w/balsamic vinegar and Olive oil)

On another note, dh and I are still doing the big re-enlistment debate. I talked to my bff this morning and her husband will be getting out just 2 months before dh would be getting out. He will most likely be getting a job at a power plant in Central WA. I've been looking at real estate there, and I really could settle down there long-term. Dh would be getting paid MORE than he is getting in the Navy. He wouldn't have to be going out to sea. It probably would be shift-work but he would be home EVERY DAY. Its closer to MT and home for me. Its rural, beautiful, but close enough to big city, shopping, Universities, etc. It would be a good place for family. Plus we could still have our sailboat and sail on yhe Colombia river. Time for dh to get his resume together and start calling people! Man, I would love to live next door to my best friend lol. I haven't seen her in over 3 years.

So I ended up having spaghetti for dinner--it was high carb, but low-fat, and I had some parmesan on it. I may have to start adding in carbs ONE meal per day as I find I'm not enjoying eating very much lately (but of course I do it anyway lol!). I think I just need to keep portions size in mind.

Flutterby
01-31-2008, 12:06 PM
Nevermind, I saw I already updated lol! Well, I can add that for dessert I had a large mug of mint hot cocoa with lite cool whip on top. It was amazing :) Hey, it was my anniversary and I was alone so I celebrated a little!

Today I've had: 3 turkey sausages, one slice whole wheat/whole grain toast w/ a little butter

Snack: I'll be getting coffee on the way to dd's ballet. I may even head out earlier than I need to just for that--I can pick up the mail at the end of the drive and just enjoy it for a few minutes. I couldn't make any this morning since I ran out of my s/f syrup, now I have a caffeine headache

Lunch: not sure yet

Dinner: refried homemade black beans, salad, maybe 1/2 of a small quesadilla

I'm trying to remember to drink more water, and try and take a small cupful everytime I walk by the sink.

It is pouring outside right now so I really don't want to have to go out, but I've been going stir-crazy this week! The only place I've gone is to take dd to/from preschool. I'm having coffee at my friend Shelly's house tomorrow :)

Flutterby
01-31-2008, 06:59 PM
Lunch ended up being a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter and a diet Mt. Dew.

Dinner: super yummy black beans with a little cheddar on top, and a salad with some blood orange olive oil and white balsamic vingar. I got this little fancy vinegar and oil set for Christmas, and it is REALLY GOOD :) The beans and salad were surprisingly filling.

I weighed myself this morning and was 161.8. So, finally under 162 again :)

I NEVER thougth I was a bean person, but my hispanic friend gave me some and they were so good! She just throws them in the crockpot on high for 6 hours w/ 8 cups of water (I used 7--less runny), 1/3 an onion and a couple cloves of garlic, and 1 TBS salt. Make them a day ahead and then when you heat them up, chop some onions, fry in some olive oil, add beans and heat. YUMMY!

Forgot to add that you can eat them whole, mash with a potato masher, or throw them in the blender for smooth beans :)

I love black beans. My sisters grandmother in law I guess you could call her makes rice and beans (she is from Cuba). I love them! Beans are so good for you and rice, you can do brown rice and it will have less calories than white but the taste will still be there.
Your doing awesome mama!

I'm grouch today :( All the repairs and stuff we need to do in the house seem overwhelming. I hate where I live!

So far today: 3 skim lattes (I know thats too many, but its cold and rainy--a good day for coffee!)

Lunch: whole grain slice of bread, w/ butter, and an egg on top.

Dinner: coconut chicken breast (didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but gotta eat the leftovers), brown rice, salad

Grocery shopping was depressingly expensive--$109 and I only got food planned for 2 meals!!! I guess the rest of the week we will be eating pretty cheaply!

I've been letting in a few more bad snacks, but really 1 cup of hot chocolate in the evenings won't kill me. I'm eating less overall, and MUCH healthier. I've pretty much cut out all the junk and bad carbs (I think that one cup of hot chocolate in the long run will help me from going crazy on some other junk food.).

Dh and I are still stressing about the re-enlistment decision. We're trying to look at the big picture and figure out what matters most. I just don't want to have to 'survive' through another 3 year sea tour when the boys are turning into teenagers. Sigh, I hate having this pressure. I have a good friend whose husband is getting out soon. He told Tim last night, that he is getting out FOR his family and kids. They are a young family like us and he doesn't want to be gone half the time his girls are growing up. Such a major life-changing decision!

Breakfast today: skim latte, 4 turkey sausages

Lunch: veggie burger w/ cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce (may put it in 1/2 whole wheat pita pocket)

Snack: skim latte

Dinner: pre-marinated pork loin, sweet potatoe 'fries' and couscous (I may or may not have a small serving)

Dessert: sugar free pudding w/ lite cool whip

Workout--1 mile WATP w/ weights. I may just pop in a different video later today and do another mile

Breakfast--skim latte, turkey sausages, diet soda

Snack--oh, I have half a small package spicy peanuts in the car :)

Lunch--I am finding it really hard to actually eat a lunch. Usually breakfast is so late, that I'm more than happy drinking a latte, but I should have something more substantial

Dinner--steak (dh got free ones for buying 2 tires at Les Schwab yesterday!), salad

Okay girls, I need to RECOMMIT!!! I'm thinking of trying Apryl's Firm tapes. I'm going to ask her more about them. Starting tomorrow morning I'm going to start logging my food again. I'm tempted to quit the low-carb diet--well, I'm not really doing it at the moment anyway. But, I really lose interest in it and then fall really hard off the wagon! I think I'd be happier eating Lean Cuisine's for lunch and oatmeal for breakfast w/ berries and splenda, and something good for dinner but small portions and I like to take recipes and substitute healthier items for unhealthier items.

Last night at church I was pretty proud of myself. I had a huge vegetable salad w/ some kind of curry chicken breast and 2 small servings of chicken divan (probably wasn't the best choice lol). I skipped the rice krispie bars and just had decaf coffee w/cream and splenda for dessert :)

Workout: probably pushing kids on the swings and working outside. Gotta take advantage of the sun when it comes out!

Woohoo, I'm BACK in the 150's this morning:)

Breakfast: egg, turkeysausages, skim latte

Lunch: boca burger wrap

Snack: skim latte

Dinner: I think maybe it will be steak and guacamole salad(yummy!), or pork roast, sweet potatoe fries, and brown rice.

I LOVE how fast the weight comes off when I first go low-carb. It seems like I don't have the will power to follow through. I always do well at first, then taper off back into my bad habits. This time, even though I'vehad my moments (days lol) of weakness, I've been able to get back on track. My first goal is just to lose the first ten pounds, then we'll see about the next ten. My MIL has really gotten me inspired to keep at it. If I lived with her I'd have no problem sticking to it lol.

It seems to be rather lonely over here as of late :(

Woohoo though! I was in the 158 range this morning. I'm so excited! I'm starting to feel like maybe I CAN do this! The more boring I eat, the more I stay on track. I pretty much have the same thing every day for breakfast and lunch, then I mix it up for dinner. tonight it will be broiled steak and guacamole salad (this is so GOOD). Kids will have leftover pork roast and rice with that.

157.2 this morning :) I really needed MIL to come and motivate me I guess! I'm sticking to it, especially now that spring is coming (and swimsuit season gasp). Today so far

2 skim s/f lattes
1 cup regular coffee w/ 2 flavored creamers 1 pack splenda

Hmmm, looks like I should eat some solid food today lol! I'll have a boca burger with cheddar

Dinner will be broiled steak and guacamole salad

I think I've had too much caffeine and not enough sleep these last few days (sick kids waking up in the middle of the night will do it). BOTH my eyes have been twitching and its so annoying!

Food for today:

3 skim lattes
20 oz. diet Mt. Dew
2 slices pork roast
1/2 piece tilapia w/ dressing on tope (mayo, parm cheese, spices)--I just can't do fish
big salad w/ olive oil and balsamic vinegar
1 small choc. chip cookie
I'll probably have a few bites ice cream and then go to bed

Ack, back up to 161 this morning :( That's what I get for taking a couple days off and imbibing in pizza and Resse's mini peanut butter cups! Oh, and Ben and Jerry's! So, back on track today. It is just about impossible for me to STAY in the 150s. My body likes being 160! But, I don't really care for all the fluff hanging around my stomach. I don't want to be fat when I go to BIL's wedding. Got to nip this in the bud. So, I'll go back to boring, but tried and true.

Breakfast--turkey sausage links, egg
Snack-skim latte
Lunch--boca burger wrap
Snack-skim latte
Dinner-probably steak, sweet potatoe fries (which I'll skip) and salad (always salad sigh)

I hear ya Amy - we start over a lot, huh? My body doesn't like to be in the 140's - I am just barely hanging on to 149 now - I am really not that far off from what I am aiming for so it should make it easier, right? NOT. How are the sweet potato fries made? If they are baked, they aren't that bad, are they? DH made them the other night, but he fried them and put tons and tons of sugar/cinnamon on them - LOL.

I just cut them into wedges (skin on), spray the cookie sheet with pam, lay wedges on, spray them with pam, salt and pepper and then bake them. If I want to make them more savory I'll sprinkle on some chili pownder too. I KNOW they are not bad, but I'm really trying to keep away from most carbs (at least until I know I can stay in the 150's! then I'll start adding in a few more healthy carbs).

Ack, did fine ALL day yesterday then dh got into the peanut butter easter eggs (that we were going to donate to church for the egg hunt). Sigh, then I had the last one this morning! I hope I've goten it out of my system. I have a dinner to go to tonight, but they always have a big bowl of salad and a meat. So, I should be fine if I stick with coffee for dessert instead of cheesecake.

I'm STILL waiting on my workout videos. They shipped out the 4th so should be here soon. My project this weekend is to get the trim around dds window finished and a dark curtain or something put up. The neighbors yard lights and car lights shine right in their window and dd2 always wakes up in the middle of the night thinking its morning. Time for ME to get some more sleep too lol, then I will be able to get up early and get my workouts in.

I got my Firm videos. I really liked the 1st one I did, but not so much the cardio one. It really worked me, but was too 'dancy' for my taste. I really have no rythm or moves so may have to stick with WATP for cardio. My weight seems to be creeping up inch by inch again. I think if I try to eat more moderately and not so strict I can avoid those carb binges! So the menu for today is

Breakfast: 1 ww toast w/ peanut butter

Workout: 30 min hard cardio

Snack: skim latte

Lunch: can tuna w/ 2 TBS mayo, lettuce, tomatoes

Snack: ? (gotta find my i.d. so I can go to commissary)

Dinner: pork roast, black beans, salad

Breakfast: Kashi GoLean Crunch, skim milk, berries

Snack: skim, sf latte

Workout--Express version of my weight video (but I used weights this time)

Lunch--Lean pepperoni pizza Pocket (yes I understand it really is just junk food), probably will have a salad as well

Dinner--sweet potatoes, steak, couscous

I feel MUCH BETTER with my eating plan now that I'm letting some carbs (and even some junk food) sneaked in lol!

Well, this weekend has pretty much been a bust eating/exercise wise. 2 birthday parties, movies (popcorn, nachos, pizza, eating out etc.) No exercise and I killed my feet walking around in the mall for 3 hours yesterday in my cute heels, trying to look cute on dh's birthday, so that means no working out today. I have blisters on the sides of my feet, and some big ones on BOTH of my pinkie toes! On a plus side though, I DID get to do some shopping at Victoria's Secret and got a bra that actually fits lol! Anyway, after that half blueberry scone I had at church, I'm ready to get back to it this afternoon.

Back on the wagon today lol!

Breakfast: 1c. lowfat cottage cheese, 1 c. frozen raspberries

Snack: skim latte

Lunch: LC panini

Workout: about to do after kiddos finish movie

Dinner: most likely spaghetti w/ turkey sausage, sauce, zuchinni sauteed in some olive oil, salad

Breakfast: Kashi Go-Lean crunch, blackberries

Snacks: 2 skim latte's

Lunch: okay this is bad--I made the icing for dh's cake, and scraped off what was left and hardened in the bottom of the pan

Dinner: probably a lean pocket or Lean Cuisine panini

Dessert: 1 piece chocolate cake w/ 1 scoop vanilla ice cream

I know I'm eating crap today and I should probably just have a salad for dinner. I have to allot the calories for the piece of chocolate birthday cake I plan on eating :)

Workout--wimped out today. My thigh and butt muscles are sore from my workout yesterday. I'll get back to it tomorrow.

Weight: 160.2 If ONLY I could keep it in the 150's! The weekends are ruining it for me!

Snack: More coffee, an apple or orange

Dinner: white chicken chili, salad

Okay, time to low carb it again. Weight was 162.8 this morning. Need to get it down into the 140s by August!!!! So, back to logging my food :)

So far today

Breakfast: 3 turkey links, egg, skim sf latte
Snack: 20 oz skim s/f latte
Lunch: diet Dr. Pepper, small bowl lite cottage cheese w/ a scoop of s/f strawberry preserves
Snack: probably a skim cheese stick
Dinner: prob salad w/ a can chicken, lots of veggies, olive oil and vinegar, blue cheese

One thing I'm really bad at is drinking enough water, especially when its cold outside. I don't think it will EVER warm up here lol! Its currently raining ice outside!

Today:

Breakfast and snack: skim, s/f/f/f latte (2)

Lunch: cottage cheese (I'm actually starting to like this lol), w/ some sugar free strawberry jam

I really haven't eaten enough today. I've been busy trying to get this house ready to sell. Maybe that will help me lose weight. I'm too busy to eat lol!

Dinner: leftover roast, salad

Woohoo, back in the 150's again (barely lol!). It is so frustrating that I can pretty much eat whatever I want and hang out right aroudn 163-165, but it seems in order to lose I have to be really strict. I did however, have some cake last night at church that didn't have any white sugar or flour in it, and it was pretty good. It would make a great substitute for cake or brownies. I'll have to get the recipe. Anyway, still back on track. I'm aiming for the 140's for this wedding I'm going to in August. Great job Flutterby! I've been keeping track of how you are doing--since we both are the same height, have 4 kids and trying to get out of the 160's (well at least **I** need to get out of the 160's) and I want to at least get to the 140's too!

My weight today is 160.8. I have been working in the yard gardening every nice day so I'm hoping that will help me. I can't snack when I'm working outside and it is exercise.

I had a friend over for dinner on Friday. I don't know if she's a bad influence or a wise friend lol! She says I look great and she doesn't even know why I'm dieting. We discussed that it seems like we have to be so strict on eating just to lose 5 or 10 pounds or that we can just enjoy food and life and not have to stress about it. We are both in the same boat in that it seems like we can eat whatever, and stay consistenly around 160-165 pounds or we have to be so strict just to lose 10. She says we are not ever going to look the way we did when we were teenagers anyway lol. Anyway, so I've been 'off' plan for a couple days.

So, my skim latte I just use a small 'moka pot' and lavazza espresso grounds and make my coffee on the stove. I nuke my skim milk in the microwave and froth it with my plunger frother, top with splenda and enjoy! That is how we made coffee all the time in Italy. I've converted several family member and friends to making it this way. Its simple and I don't have to use a fancy expensive espresso machine.

Okay, I'm coffee pathetic--I just learned how to make my first pot of regular ol' coffee this year. I don't know what a moka pot is and I'm not sure where to get lavazza espresso grounds. I don't have a plunger frother but I have one of those stick or wand mixer thingies that you can make a milk shake in a glass sort of thing--I could try it.

Sorry its taken me so long. Life has been crazy busy around here with trying to get our house up for sale. We are almost at the end of our LONG list of things we needed to get done. Good think too since dh left for 3 months today! I just have to finish up some painting and mostly deep cleaning as the realtor is coming Friday to take pics. YIKES!!!! I can't wait till we move next month and I won't have to keep things so spotless, but after getting used to it, I may just keep it up lol!

Okay, a moka pot is just an 'espresso' maker that goes right on top of a burner. We discovered them in Italy and we've made our coffee like that ever since. Lavazza is just a type of coffee that I buy at the commissary (It's an Italian brand), but any expresso ground will do. A plunger frother is not required, I just like foamy milk! I've seen the coffee maker for sale at Cost Plus Worldmarket and Sur La Table, but I'm sure other places have it as well, though I've never looked for it at a place like Target or Wal mart. Hope this helps!

On another note, I just have to say that I SUCK at dieting. Low carb really works for me, but I hate it and I get really emtional really easily if I don't eat carbs. I hate counting points and counting calories. After we move, I am going to buy a used baby jogger off of craigslist and slowly work up to running again. At our other house I will be able to walk/run right out my front door where as I can't do that here. I'll have 3 kids in school and I can just push my youngest in the baby jogger. I'm really just trying to eat healthy and watch portion sizes. I've decided there are more important things in life than trying to look like I did before I had 4 kids lol!

Not a problem on the delay--I TOTALLY understand when life gets crazy! I feel for you, I can only imagine how tough it gets when hubby is away for so long.

Best wishes on the house sale. I have only sold one house in my lifetime and that can be very crazy! I hope that you have a smooth, trouble-free sale!

Thank you for explaining the latte "recipe"--I hadn't drank coffee until within the past year and only in the past months did I even know how to make a pot of coffee. I was intimidated about the amount of coffee to amount of water ratio. Silly, I know.

I will be on the lookout for the expresso pot and some good coffee and give it a try!

Thank you!

Okay gotta get back to healthy eating. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow morning. I'm trying to just focus on 'healthy' and getting back into eating lots of fruits and veggies. So, the plan is going to be a fruit smoothie for breakfast, salad, or wrap sandwich on a whole wheat tortilla, then something simple for dinner like roast chicken or spaghetti. I find the simpler I keep things, then I don't have to think about it too much, and the easier it is. I'm going to try more vegetarian meals too. I'm totally not a fish person but I saw a recipe for salmon 'burgers' I'm willing to try. Its hard with dh being gone because the kids don't really want to eat what I want to make. Anyway, back to journaling!

I'm trying to go lower carb again. We'll see how long that lasts. But, I plan on starting running again. I picked up a used jogger off craigslist, and since I am down to only 1 kid every afternoon, we can go running/walking every day depending on the rain. I got my first 2 mile workout in! I ran/walked with the jogger and the puppy. I'm pretty slow and did lots of walking, but I kept my heart rate up the whole time. I'm really out of shape and am having to start at rock bottom again. So, my plan is to enjoy the holidays but try and get out running (or cardio at the gym) at LEAST 4 times a week. I did two miles yesterday with the baby jogger and dog, and will be going out again this afternoon.!

So, starting weight today is 163.4 (darn it I regained 10 pounds I lost :() I need to start posting food too so I can be held accountable by seeing in writing what I've been eating lol.

Breakfast--skim sugar free latte
1/2 cup (uncooked, so its probably a full cup at least) Irish oatmeal with some vanilla and Splenda
