For all you recent graduates who are still checking in...

At the time of DS's birth, I saw a little blurb in a parenting magazine that I've passed on to every mom I know ever since. It's called "White House Welcome" and if you send a copy of your child's birth announcement to them, they'll send a card back welcoming that child. It's really pretty cool...the envelope is addressed in calligraphy to the child from the White House, and the card is signed (well, stamped) by both the president and first lady. So for just the cost of a stamp, I think it's a pretty unique thing for the baby book!

The card says:
Welcome. The day you were born will always be a special day. Your birth has brought great joy to your family, and your life symbolizes the promise of tomorrow. We wish you a happy and healthy life that is full of love. May God bless you and may God Bless America.

The address is:
