Hello, my 2.5 week old struggles at my breast sometimes, pulling and unlatching. He usually goes back on and I think gets enough milk, but he seems sometimes discontent when eating. I thought maybe the ear was crushed against my arm in cradle hold, but I don't think so. This usually occurs after about 10 minutes of feeding, all times of the day.

You could have an overactive letdown or he could be sucking in air and needs to be burped. Post your question on the General board for more advice. You will get more answers there. Welcome and congrats!

Welcome & congrats on your little one! The best way to tell if babe is getting enough to eat is to count the diapers. There should be 6-8 wet ones in a 24 hour period. I second what dewoman says above. If it's 10 minutes into the feed, it could also be that the flow is slowing down, and he is getting frustrated. Here are some links for you to check out:

Thank you both - I have worked on burping more - that seems to help, and the websites were helpful too, so that I could continue milk flow with his sucking.
