Hi - I'm new to these boards and feel funny about posting a question before an intro, but am desperate for advice! My 5th child, Piper, has always had problems with excema and rashes - we had her allergy tested, but the results were iffy because she was pretty young and was still exclusively breastfed. We do know that she's allergic to peanuts (only has skin reaction, though) so we are careful about avoiding peanut-containig products. She is now 23 months old (2 on the 23rd!) and no longer wants to breastfeed - her choice, not mine! She has had no breastmilk for about 10 days now, and her rashes and excema have gotten much worse, despite the prescription antihistamine and careful avoidance. I'm considering pumping breastmilk for her to drink in a "big kid cup" to see if this has any effect. Has anyone else had this experience? Also, do y'all think that applying breastmilk topically would help? It always worked for conjunctivitis...Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks!
