summer is coming and I have always told myself that I want to go to the pool and be proud..not embarrassed. I have to do something. I am STUCK at 164. I have 4 months before pools open. I need to lose roughly 30 lbs. WHY am I having such a hard time? I am ALWAYS hungry. How do I fight this demon? I know I will not lose 30 in 4 months but I want to see some improvement.
So I start tomorrow. I'm sick of it! I'm not sure HOW I am going to do it though.......

You are right about where I am! It seems like for the life of my I can't stay below 160!! I'm with you--I have a wedding in August that I want to look great for. I wish you the best of luck :) I'm trying to go mostly low-carbs/healthy carbs. I'm having a big bowl of low-fat vegetarian chili for lunch with a slice of cheddar cheese on top.

I just walked 1 mile then did 30 bench presses ( at 35 lbs) then 30 crunches on the ab ball. As well as leg extensions ( 15 LBS, 40?)
My neighbor and I are planning on working out together at my house several days a week. I HOPE I stick to it this time. Please PM me someone if you notice me slacking off posting here...PLEASE! I need help sticking to it.

Good luck. I know how you feel. I always got down to approx. 160-165 and then got disheartened.
To be honest, I started to not look at it like, "I need to loose 30 lbs" I picked smaller goals...5 lbs at a time, and they seemed much more do-able.
Journaling here was a good thing for me.
Weight watchers really helped. I was able to get down to 138-140, which was maintainable for me...until I got prego, now I'm waiting to go back when the baby turns 2 months old.
You can do it!!!

i am starting at 162. I weighed myself after I ate yesterday so my true weight is 162.

I usually weigh myself in the morning and I heard thats the better time to weigh yourself.

i just walked 2 miles on the tm and lifted weights. also did some sit ups. all in all it was an hour work out. i'm sweaty and tierd...go me lol
oh and my diet was good as well. i will write that down later nak

It's heartening to see others working on this too! I swear, staying home with kids and gaining weight just go hand in hand! I know we can all do it though, especially now that we have to account for ourselves to each other!

It's fun though. All 3 of us gave birth the same time now we are losing weight the same time as well. How much do you want to lose April? I'm aiming for 30 -40 lbs.

yeah that is funny we were all pregnant together and now losing together its great. I would love to lose about 50 would be so nice but I am aiming for smaller goals now. to get under to 199 is my goal about 9 more to go.

another lean pocket ( dinner)
a glass of choc. milk ( I know...
I am off to work out in a bit. DH bought me a work out suit today for V-day I love it!

WOW, I just finished 50 min on the TM doing 2 1/2 miles. Also did some weights and crunches. This is the most i've ever done!

I don't know my current weight, it was 193 last time I weighed myself. I am shooting for 135, so I have about 60 pounds! I've put 20 of it on since I had Jo, 3 1/2 years ago. In 2000 I was 152, started working out with the FIRM like I'm doing now, and in six months got down to 128. I stayed at that weight for about a year and then I had my last two or three semesters of college and I was working two jobs and going to school full time and I just worked and studied and ate and took care of Antonia, I was single during that time, so no one else to help with Antonia. By the time I met David (dh) in June 2003 I was at my then highest weight, 170. Then I had Josephine in July 2004 and I've been home since and I was 190 when I got pregnant with Caroline, lost ten pounds because of eating well while pregnant, then was 199 when she was born. 193 at my 6 week post partum appt.
Anyway, my goal is just to exercise every day, and hopefully lose at least 20 or maybe even 30 before I go home to visit in June, no one in my family is fat and I don't want to be the one who is.

160.4 today. My first PPAF came yesterday so I'm hoping some of the bloating will leave my body. I did not WO yesterday ( I have given myself Fridays off) but will be doing it today. I feel good aside from AF lol. I ate well yesterday and got some awesome food for this week at the store.

I did good today aside from the caramel apple my Aunt brought me for V-day. Today I had
BKFST, Kashi waffles and 1/2 sugar jelly
Special K bar
Sandwich ( turkey with wheat bread, light mayo, tomato)
Lean pocket
Yo plait light yogurt
caramel apple
2 more Kashi waffles with 1/2 sugar jelly
special K cereal with 1% milk
I did 3 miles on the TM plus weight lifting

I just ate a big breakfast but it was egg beaters with a small amount of ham along with 2 pieces of wheat toast with 1/2 sugar jelly. Plus a diet root beer. I did not eat much dinner last night. After I clean some I plan on doing 2 miles on the TM then another 2 miles plus weights later today.

so today I had
egg beaters with ham and 2 pieces whole wheat toast with low sug. jam
100 cal bar
tomato sandwich with light mayo , piece of cheese on wheat bread ( X2, I had one for lunch one for dinner)
several rice cakes
3 bites of mashed potatoes
banana
I feel like I am missing something else..OH a soy protein shake with 1% milk
I did some cleaning and 2 miles on the tm. now i am eating a ww ice cream bar...yum!

I know it's not ...darn thing lol. It's working at CLL though.
I started at 162 and I am at 159-160 ( it varies). I did lose 1/2 inch each thigh and 1/2 in in my hips and 1/2 belly. Still nothing on my arms. So that is 1 1/2 inches total so far. Not bad I guess for 10 days work.
My diet today was good. I also did 2 miles.
So how have you been doing?

I have been doing great a little over a month now and I have lost 12 lbs. I never did measure myself but I can feel the difference in my clothes already.

159.0 this AM. I have yet to be under 159 since getting pregnant. I hope to see it go down soon. I have walked a tun and have started jogging a bit as well. I have a no workout day today But since DH is hone due to the ice it looks like I can WO after all.

I'm sitting here dripping in sweat, I just did 2 miles on my TM ( jogging half). My diet was good as well. I had same breakfast as usual along with turkey hot dog, wheat bun, onion, ketchup, small amount of sun chips and cucumber for lunch. For dinner I made asparagus, turkey burger, wheat bun, black beans. I'm chugging water now. I feel good! Oh and I need to drink my protein shake.

2 miles down today already. I did it in under 35 minutes because half of it was jogging and the other half was a fast walk. I'm sweating!

I did good yesterday. We got pizza and I had NONE! 157.6 today. I have to stop this daily weigh in. But the scale keeps going down lol. My resistance bands and DVD come in the mail today so I can't wait to try them. My supply has not gone down any with this diet so that is great! My legs hurt from jogging though.

I hear ya on weighing everyday lol! I feel like I'm keeping it in check though. I've been low-carbing it again and am down to 157.2 this a.m. !!! :) It's the lowest I've been in quite some time. My first goal is 155!
