when would implantation bleeding occur? [Archive]

we are not ttc actively, but we are not being "extremely careful" either.

this am i had a very light brownish discharge ( kind like cm, but with a beigey tinge...)

i am not due to get my period for another week or so. just curious when that kind of thing would happeN? or if it could be just remnants of the last period working their way out before the next one begins. i went to the bathroom this aft and it was gone?

my cycles are usually really varied, but have settled down to 32-35 days most months , as i am now on vitex.

any info would be great ;)

Implantation bleeding normally occurs a week to a few days before your period would normally start. Spotting that occurs around a week after ovulation is likely implantation bleeding; whereas, spotting that occurs very close to the time that your period would normally start may not be. A normal menstrual cycle generally starts off light and then gets heavier. Spotting can sometimes be the sign of an early period. If this is the case, the spotting will pick up to heavier bleeding. If you have spotting right around the time your period would normally start, it can be more confusing. You will need to take the wait and see approach or take a pregnancy test to determine pregnancy.

ok...so after reading that article and looking at the last date of my last period, i "should " be getting it around the 20th of feb ( first day of my last was on jan 17 and my cycles are usually 32-35 days)

spotting started yesterday ...and continuing today on and off. definitely brwonish tinged and sparse...kinda like cm, but no pink. still no af, no cramps ( very strange for me...i get the worst cramps ...) and i've been feeling kinda dizzy and a bit nauseous and tired. but no breast changes...

so weird ...it would be highly unlikely that we are pg as we have been using condoms for the "glory stroke". i know that there are sperm in the pre-ejaculate, but, man they wouldhave to be SOME swimmers.

so i guess i wait for a week and see if af returns or test?

hmmmm.... any guesses? i just feel off today. really weird. that's why i'm wondering.

sounds good...just poas (dollar store )and neg so far. i guess it would be still really early . i keep expecting af to start and it is not. it's just so weird for me. and my cycles are already weird lol. guess i'm still in waiting. day three of spotting now with no cramps, no af.

sigh. hope all is well with you :)

still waiting and spotting. i thought it was af this morn cuz my back started to hurt a bit, but still no cramps and no heavy bleeding. both have never occurred for me if i was having a real period.

the wait continues...anyone know how long implantation bleed commonly lasts? i couldn't find it in the article. so far it has been 4 days now...heavier today than yesterday but not a period at all...

well...

i'm not totally convinced that it's a normal af, but this am i woke up to heavier amounts of the same dark brpwn " blood" so i guess i'm calling it an af for now...

still no cramps ( which is the weirdest thing for me. ) and now comes the added pleasure of guessing when to start counting for my first day.

do i count the 13th for when the spotting started or today when it actually was enough for me to use a tampon? up til now i'd barely seen anything on my liner...

i i do'nt ever get cramps for this round, i'm pretty sure i'll be testing some more over the next ew weeks just in case. ( funny i should be HAPPY about not getting cramps, but i'm more worried than anything lol)

i'll keep all posted, but i think it's just a weird period. that is my vote for today anyway. ?

They say to count the first day of bright red flow. I would most definetly be POAS in the next few weeks with what your discribing. I can also understand your consern. Thinking of you hun.

Mines also weird. Usually I'm going through 5-6 overnight pads the first 3 days then it just disapears down to panty liners, then back up to a regular pad on day 5 then gone day 6 or 7. If this is what's turning out to be normal H, M, L, L, L, I'm not going to complaine one bit! I'm thinking pregnancy is less likely because of the durration of the the cycle this month, but I'm still going to POAS in afew days. My Temps are pointing to a No, as well as some of the symptomes of AF.. so I'm thinking it really is less likely even through I have gone through something similar with 2 of my other sticky pregnancies. Breastfeeding was also a factor in both of them.

so i had some red flow today with a few tiny clots...so i guess it is af? still no cramps ( impossible to believe )
i'm still gonna poas in a couple weeks to be sure but i guess today counts as day one then right? thanks joyto5 :) i appreciate all the info :) what a journney these bodies send us on, huh?

Yep, you can count it as cd 1 now. For your future knowledge, implantation generally happens 5-12dpo. Also, having a day of brown spotting is fine. But if you regularly have two days or more of brown spotting before your period starts, let your dr know. (It can be a sign of low progesterone).

i'm already on vitex to regulate my progesterone...hmmm...all of a sudden i'm confused. i had 4 days of brown spotting before the red started yesterday.

i thought the vitex was increasing my progesterone?

well...i'm still bleeding. i guess it was a period, albeit very strange one :) it's now been a week since all the spotting and bleeding began. i went to the md yesterday to get checked out just in case. she sent me for blood work for my iron levels, b12, folate, and thyroid. also a hcg level, in case it was a missed miscarriage.

still no cramps but my back has been killing me. have been feeling kinda lightheaded and woozy at times, tired ...but that could all be from loss of blood.?

i'll keep posted as soon as i get the results back from the bloodwork.

Good luck also - I am kind of in the same boat, except no bleeding whatsoever - my LMP was January 13th, but I have taken sooo many HPT's and all negative - I am so confused as I really feel pregnant.

as for me , i just wanted to make sure that i got it checked out as it is pretty weird. should hear from the md today i hope...still bleeding though. it's now been 4 days of spotting and five days heavier bleeding. i'm getting kinda sick of this. i just want to be done already , either way!

well...still bleeding here...no signo of stopping. my lab results were back but my doc does not get in til monday ( she does not work fridays) the doc on call didn't make any special notes on them so the nurse assumed that everything must be relatively normal. i'm still not convinced as i'm still bleeding ( this has been going on since tfeb 13 now...four days of spotting , heavier bleeding starting on sunday and still ongoing tonight) i'm gonna call on monday to see what is going on. ) especially if i am still bleeding.

makes me think that i may have been pg, but they took blood work to check and my levels were not elevated? sigh. i have no idea what is goin on. :( thanks for aksing though. how are you hanging in?

That has to be so nerve racking! I am pretty lucky in that I have never had heavy bleeding or cramps (well, now i have cramps though) I hope everything comes back normal for you!
I am still not feeling well at all - still dizzy - was a little nauseous too today. I am waiting until Wednesday for AF and if still not here I am making an apt to get a blood test. I am kind of starting to worry that something is wrong - I know I don't feel right that is for sure.

still. bleeding this morn. a little less, so maybe i'm on the downslide, but sheesh, this is a little ridiculous. i am going to have to og back to the md and see if she has any other ideas as to why my hormones are rocked out. it is so far beyond just period stuff. i feel like i'm on the verge of a breakdwon at times...sigh.

i just feel like something is up with me and i'm not the same positive person i was before the last 6 months. and NOONE seems to be able to tell me why...i have had so many tests in the past year ( urine, fecal, physical, pap ct scan on my kidneys, laparoscopy to check for endometriosis, burst ovarian cysts, recurring utis, exhaustion and naseau at times, really weird period stuff...and now my moods and state of mind are coming into my own question. :(

well, the doctor never called back ( grr) so i will have to make another appt ...i'm guessing if there were any issues they would have called. so , i suppose this was just a super weird period?

today i think i may be just finishing up spotting and MAYBE, just maybe i'll stop today or tomorrow. so all tolled, that makes it feb 13 til the 26ish...crazy times. btw, i took another dollar store pg test just to make sure and it came back neg. so i'm not pg either.

i guess that is it...just such a strange month for me. i'm a little worried that my hormones are doing a crazy dance right now, but i'm hoping it's nothing like early menopause or anything. we will be ttc in the next few months, so i guess we're back in crazy times again soon. i'm hoping my hormones will cooperate. :) thanks to all for caring.
