Just wondering do you have your chart set at....

Advanced (Recommended)
Fertility Awareness
Research
OPK/Monitor

I have mine set at Advanced but didn't know if I should have it on Fertility Awareness or not.

What is you chart set at?

I always had mine set to Advanced, and it was always spot on, even when it seemed impossible. For instance, there were many times that I didn't fit the typical 3 over 6 pattern, but the Advanced setting caught my O somehow.

And I know it was right because I test + at 10DPO and I was pregnant every cycle I charted.

The Fertility Awareness method will be more like the plan in TCOYF, but honestly, the Advanced was more accurate for me.

OPK/Monitor isn't worth doing if you're also charting temps and CM, which are probably more accurate.

Thanks for the information.

I just didn't know if I should have it set to fertility awareness since that is about how my tcoyf chart is.

Well, it's up to you. Others, including Kerry, have had a lot more success using the TCOYF software, which obviously uses the fertility awareness method.

It's been so long since I set it up that I actually forgot there were choices! Mine is set for FAM but I don't remember why I chose it. Now I'll have to play!

I'm going to try it on FAM for awhile, and see if it makes much of a difference or not. Off to change it..lol!

It's also something to keep in mind if/whenever you don't agree with what ff thinks. There's always a chance that the different setting will change how it sees things.

Well, when I changed it to FAM, it didn't change my chart or anything. Guess I'll keep it here and then try it on Advanced every few days to see if it shows any difference.

Two charts ago, I had FF on Advanced, and it showed the same day of Ovulation as my TCOYF chart did. Last month my TCOYF didn't show O, but FF showed a possible day, but was never confirmed.

Guess I'll just sit back and wait and see.

I changed my ff sharing settings to show you one of the wacky charts I was talking about:

If I was going for a 3 over 6, I never would have noticed that O until well later, but somehow FF picked up on it.

Maybe I should keep it on Advanced since it did show my O the same day as my TCOYF chart. I'll changed is back to Advanced in a few days.

Macabe: that was interesting that it did pick it up.

Since I'm still learning some things about charting, still trying to figure out what my chart should actually be set on.

Did you all wonder about your chart settings the first time you started charting? How long until you got the hang of it?
