This is my second pregnancy and so far most things have been pretty much the same as the last. I am only 9 weeks into it but I have had about the same level of sickness and same sensitivity to smells and cooking and whatever.
but I am also feeling so down. I don't want to say sad because I am not sad. I am happy but I feel physically unable to show it. It's hard to smile, hard to play with my toddler. I feel drained of energy.
Maybe I'm eating poorly. It is hard for me to cook food right now especially meat. I have weird cravings and then often don't want to eat. We are eating too much junk food for sure, frozen foods, fast foods, stuff like that.
I am telling myself this is just first trimester business and I am almost there and once I pass that 13th week I'll be back to my old self. But I'm starting to feel like it'll never happen. Like I'll never have energy again, never be able to cook a good meal for my family, never get rid of this overall icky feeling.
I don't remember feeling quite this down last time. Is this normal? I see my midwife for the first time next week. Should I mention it?
Anyone have food suggestions that might help me perk up a bit?
TIA and thanks for reading so much!
