Has this happened to any of you?

I've been pumping at work for the past 4 months. Usually I get about the same amount of milk on each breast (the ocasional difference is on the breast ds last fed from) But lately, my right breast only gets about 1 oz whereas the left one will get 4 oz (double pumping for 15 minutes)

I have not felt any pain or soreness (which would indicate any illness) but it has happened for 3 days already. I have a call into my LC, but figured if any of you have had the same situation and how you went about getting back to normal.

My breasts always have produced different amounts (but I have never gotten 4 oz from either breast at one time). To this day my left breast produces more... DS and I have just adjusted to this discrepency.

That is what I am going thru now. Unfortunately i have to pump becaus I have I preemie in NICU. I will get 2-3 ozs at a time from the left side and 1 oz from the right. I dont have soreness either. I have found, goofy as it seems, I drink more water I can get a bit more but I litterally have to bend over while pumping. It helps the most. I have to pump for almost an hour to get the total 4 ozs all together. So lucky you to take 15 minutes. I have started switching sides. start on the right instead of the left. So all I can say is hang over and see what happens.

This is very common. My right side is my work horse.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and you can always try adding oatmeal in.

I'm going through this now. But i will say that when i try to pump my right side which only produces an ounce it does hurt a little...what can this pain be caused by? Is it something to worry about?

Good news, it seems we (meaning the breasts) are back to normal! It was scary there for a bit. Thanks for all the advice ladies!
