Sorry I don't know anything about the specific pumps you mentioned, but I'm currently EPing with a Medela Pump In Style. I've had good results with this pump. Some say hospital-grade is the best choice for EPing. The Medela is a bit pricey (about $280) but it's yours to keep and pays for itself 10 times over compared to the cost of formula. Plus your baby gets the best nutrition out there. Can't put a price on that! ;)

You need a solid double electric pump. I will say, that many women have difficulty keeping up with baby when they are EP. This is not to say that it can't be done, but just that you may encounter problems.

You should be pumping every time the baby eats, and maybe an extra time. You should probably be pumping around 10-12 times a day in the beginning.

I am being nosey, but are you nursing baby now and wanting to move to EP? Is there a specific reason you don't want to nurse baby?

My son is seemingly nursing well (weight gain is GREAT thou we have supp. some, wets and poops good, no pain other than thrush ect). But it seems like he's spitting up a great deal of what he eats and then is nursing nonstop at times. Its wearing me down... I think I was having a breakdown of sorts yesterday when I was thinking of EPing to be honest. Not to mention pressure from my IL to "bottle feed more" b/c if "hes spitting up your BM its not doing any good anyways"...

I have a 2 1/2 yr old and feel so overwhelmed sometimes. I guess i was thinking if i pumped DH would help out more and possibly get him a lil more predictable w/ his eating. But as long as we dont suffer from nipple confusion I guess I could pump a feed or two every day BUT how do I get a stash built up for the freezer being a SAHM? Do I have to supplement formula?
Sorry for the ramble and the mental breakdown...
