My ds is 20 months old. He usually nurses about 7 to 10 times a day. Dh and I are wanting to TTC, but I still don't have AF. Is there anything I can do (short of weaning), to get my fertility back.

Just because you are nursing and haven't had AF yet doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant. I know several women who have gotten pregnant in your situation! :)
I don't know any 'tricks' to help out but I am sure someone here will, good luck!

Though it is possible to get pg without your period back, I wasn't able to. My luteal phase was too short for the first couple cycles. You likely don't have to fully wean. You could try partial weaning. With DS, I nightweaned him in order to get my fertility back. I didn't have to cut down DD, she cut down herself. She did still nurse at night several times but she only nursed for nap during the day. It can take 3 months after cutting down to notice a change though. So, don't give up. I'd suggest cutting out just one or two sessions and then waiting a few months to see if it made a difference. Then re-evaluate and decide if you're going to wait it out or cut down again.

Thanks for the replies. For the last two nights Rylan has slept a 6 hour stretch w/out nursing. Maybe this is the start of him night weaning. I hope so. I'll wait a few more months and see if AF returns or if Rylan cuts himself back more. I really want to get pregnant again, but at this point it is just to hard on me to tell Rylan no. I feel like I am breaking his heart.
