My dd just turned 5 last Saturday and is still going strong with nursing. Last year, when she turned four, she promised to quit nursing when she turned 5. Well, when she turned 5, she promised to quit when she turns 7. I guess that last year rolled around pretty darn quick!
I have been nursing continously for 7.5 years now if you count my ds!
My DH is waiting patiently until he can have his turn!!!! He is a saint.

Hi, I have a 15 mnth old dd and am pregnant with second one, interesesting back in the thread someones baby weaned when they were 16 mnths. I'm hoping she will keep nursing till the next one is born so nipples don't have time to soften up in time to get sore for nursing second baby! Hope the plan works anyway. Any tips for tandem nursing would also be appreciated :o.

Grady is 20 mo and we're down to nap, bedtime, and whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night. I still let him have his *nigh-nighs* whenever he gets hurt or is extremely pissy. I'm pretty much ready for him to be completely weaned, but I still haven't figured out how to go about it w/out any help from hubby. Apparently since I'm a SAHM I have to figure it out on my own since him getting ample sleep for work is more important. :nono:
Here's my little stink.......

Hi! I am still nursing my daughter Daphne, who will turn 3 on Jan. 8.
I nursed my first son, Alex, until he was 2 years and 3 months. He weaned when I was three months pregnant with my second son, Duncan. Duncan weaned at 19 months, when I was three months pregnant with my third and final, Daphne. (Do you see a pattern here??? Apparently my milk gets yucky when I am three months pregnant.) No telling when Daphne's going to wean, because I am not getting pregnant again unless there is a really big OOPS in my house. She still nurses 3-5x a day.
