my soon to be 5 month old is having such a hard time with formulas i would to restart breastfeeding, it has been a few days seen she has bf and a few weeks since i pumped regularly, i did pump yesterday only being able to express about half an ounce each session, would restarting be a realistic goal? if so any tips for me?

Yes, You definately can "restart"...I know its called relactation, but in your case wouldn't be as difficult as starting from scratch b/c you are still making some milk. You would have to pump/nurse every 2 hrs to signal to your body to start making more milk. Check out Kellymom.com they have a section on relacation. Good luck sorry I can't be of more help.

It's never too late but it will take work. Increase your fluids, eat oatmeal and start at this link. kellymom is priceless.

Also, let babe nurse as much as possible. It will increase your supply ALOT faster than pumping even if it means you have to take a week off work. You will be so glad you committed yourself to relactating
