I am only pumping about 1-2 oz per breast. I am back at work as a school counselor so my schedule is often unstable. I started off pumping two times at work and breastfeeding my little girl once at home. I am only able to pump once a day and breastfeed her as often as she wants it. I am using the freestyle pump.

I want to know as many remedies (herbs, teas, tincture, etc.) as I can get to increase my milk supply to at least 4-6 oz in each breast to build up a supply so I don't have to supplement. I'm desperate and kind of tired already between work, home and everyday life. (I have a husband, 3 yr. old and
400+ middle school students)

I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly, but are you looking to pump 4-6 oz from each breast all at once? If so, that is quite a bit, and probably not going to happen. Or at least in my own experience, it would be unrealistic.

I am not familiar with the freestyle pump. Who makes it? Is it a double electric pump?

I've heard good things about fenugreek or mother's milk tea, but have not tried either myself. Check the archive board, there may be some info on there. Make sure you get plenty of rest and drink lots of water; you can also try eating oatmeal to see if that helps.

But the most effective way to increase your supply is really going to be pumping or nursing more often. In a full day's work, you should be pumping more than once per day. Speaking from my own experience, I try to pump every 3 or 4 hours. You could also try pumping first thing in the morning when you wake up, just to get some extra milk. But still, to maintain your supply and avoid clogged ducts and / or mastitis, try to pump more frequently.

I hope that helps, and good luck to you!
