I gave up caffeine with my first pretty easily. But I didn't have a toddler! Now it is really hard to get through the day without at least one caffeinated beverage. I am officially 14 weeks and out of the first trimester. Do you think it'd be OK if I added one small caffeine drink back into my diet? I'm going to ask my midwife this week but wanted y'all's opinions too.

I know people here at work tell me that I shouldn't be drinking caffeine, but I have a least one soda every other day or every 2 days. I too have a toddler at home and I can use it from time to time.

Good Luck and let me know what your midwife has to say about it.

I think that in moderation it would be ok. My sil could easily drink 32 - 64oz of soda in one day while pregnant. I cringed every time I saw her drink something other than water.

Most doctors say you can have one a day if everything is going well with your pregnancy. I would just try and stay away from it. Water Water Water.... Barfff... More Water Water hehehe just think water........ No really it will be ok in very small amounts... why not just try a half a cup and see if that gets you through the day.....

midwife says it is OK in moderation. I drink a big cup of half caff every morning. I make a small pot and use half regular and half decaff. It gets me by for now! Helps for sure while we get that last tooth out!
