Hi mummy,
please provide your advises and shares your experiences with me for my cases.

i will be going oversea for 6 weeks in aug to sept. By then, My son will be 8 mths old. I am taking fenugrek to increase my supply all this while. My pumping in the morning is 7oz, next 3 hrs is 3oz and so on. Will i have it the same amount if i am away for 6 weeks. What should i do?How to maintain my supply from getting low during the 6 weeks? Should i take frengrek during the 6 wks?

Hello-

It's likely that your supply will have changed somewhat by Aug-Sept anyway, as your baby gets older, starts taking some solids, etc. It would be very difficult to maintain a given supply with a six week period away from your baby. If you could take your baby, that would be ideal; no pump is going to empty your breasts that well. A hospital grade pump would be your next best bet. If you are already taking fenugreek, you probably shouldn't stop it during that time, but I don't think that it is going to prevent a dip in your supply caused by a six week break from nursing.

i would strongly suggest a double pump (preferably hospital grade) if you can afford it!!!!

Will double pump have better power of sucking or just to simulate both breast?

it will increase prolactin levels therefore helping u to make more milk.
