I finally popped in the CD from the back of my TCOYF book. Entered in all the data from FF. They read differently.

Out of my 3 months of charting, TCOYF has only shown me ovulating once, but FF says twice with a possible ovulation once.

So.. is it possible to have regular timmed periods even if you don't ovulate? I always thought you had to ovulate before your cycle could start. When I was having trouble getting pregnant after my third baby, I would go 3-5 months without a period then bleed 2-4 weeks straight. Some weeks it would spot. Needless to say it as insane! Dr. put me on BC and things regulated themselves. When I got off of it 6 months later, I got pregnant within 3 months.

Taking into consideration the Trip to Hawaii and the stress from living in a huge house with some very filthy, unruley, ungreatful, (wanted to strangle most days) single men (boys actually) for 5 weeks... And the stress that put me through. Could that have messed up my hormones enough that I didn't ovulate? Then that brings me to my question. Can you still have a cycle (Menstrate) and not ovulate?

What I've been reading on the internet is conflicting. Perhaps it's time to bring my charts in to an OB and have a chit chat.

no and yes

It is possible to have cyclical bleeding without ovulating. If you have an anovulatory cycle, sometimes after a while, a bit of lining sloughs off. It is only truly menstruation if you did ovulate.

So if it's Anovulatory Bleeding then would it be late? The Bleeding I've had is pretty much right on where FF says it should be the last 3 months. The prediction is usually kicked back 4-7 days after it calculated when I ovulated.

It seems to be possibile in my case. Every month I have the o symptoms of pain, temp rise, and ewcm that dries up so I always know when to start the countdown, and I always know when to expect af. She's spot on every time. When we started our fertility testing and discovered that DH had a somewhat low count, my OB and I pretty much ruled out any issues with me. Then all of a sudden my progesterone level was very low and the question of whether I actually was ovulating came into doubt. Now that I'm with a RE and having ultrasounds, they say my ovulation is definitely an ocassional thing. I need to ask more questions about how it's possible to be so exact on my cycle if O doesn't actually happen.

This last month I had EWCM that was sparatic and AF was right on.. It was really difficult to pin point when or if I Oed. I'm still looking for an OB/GYN who Isn't months and months out that will listen to me AND suportive of homebirth. Since I have some raw data to show them perhaps I can get abit more feedback now, if I choose to go back to my other OB/GYN.

I should also add that my ob looked through my charts, and though he thought they looked great, he said they can't tell you definitively that O occured.
