Lately, Aeonkat has been rubbing me the wrong way. I used to enjoy her posts, but she seems so abrasive and rude, recently. I'll admit it, tata has too, and she's readily admitted that. I know tata's thyroid may play a factor in that.

I know stress can make people act differently, too. Hell, I'm prime example of that case. All I can figure after some thought is that something must be going on with Aeonkat, as (this is just imo) she seems to have done quite a bit of turning in the past year. It seems to be getting worse (in regards to her rudeness and cattiness).

I hope that whatever's going on with her she can find some relief.

Well, I would agree that someone shooting animals for such reasons might have a mental stability issue. Kat didn't tell her she was crazy and even left room for EA to clarify that she was indeed being tongue in cheek.

However, Tata was just saying she was irrationally upset by what happened to the boards, and Aeon came on acting like Tata was upset at Sassy, which to me it didn't seem that. Yeah. This doesn't really read like "normal" conversation to me, Nikki. It sounds really shrill . Much like some of kat's "fuckity fucking fuck you" posts. Waaaaay before? There was a handful if that. Fark me,I happened to be reading elsewhere came back and saw what JD and you posted. Cripes, I assumed it should be just a given that one would give a fair warning to the owner first. I was clear from the beginning I would use an airsoft, not something that shoots actual bullets that injure or kill, how else would you have come up with the abuse/kill accusation besides to immediately associate an actual rifle, which if I had any interest in injuring or killing an animal I would have stated rifle.

ONCE AGAIN to clarify and if I go go back in the way-back machine, well back at least 15 hours and post...

I would talk to the neighbor first and if the neighbor refuse to keep track of his dog I would pop it with an airsoft. However if I find and animal chasing livestock yep I would pop it, again with an airsoft.

JD's comeback about chicken and sheep and lmaoade's DH having no business driving if they're involved (which was pretty damn funny) simply pointed out to me that I was tired and posted a babbling clarification. When I posted it (babbling clarification) was after midnight my time. So yeah, prepare to be disappointed if you want logic that needs no clarification from a pregnant woman that time of night (especially when her sleep cycles are going to bed at 1:30am get up at 5:30am and has no clue WTF a nap is).

Sometimes, when I can't tell from the title why a thread might be as long as it is, I start from the last page to see what the current topic in the thread is. And then sometimes I end up just reading the whole thread, but completely backwards, starting with the last page. It doesn't make a LOT of sense that way, but then after you've read it backwards, it seems pointless to read it forwards. So I just end up with a smish-smash view of what happened in the thread.

Lately, Aeonkat has been rubbing me the wrong way. I used to enjoy her posts, but she seems so abrasive and rude, recently. I'll admit it, tata has too, and she's readily admitted that. I know tata's thyroid may play a factor in that.

I know stress can make people act differently, too. Hell, I'm prime example of that case. All I can figure after some thought is that something must be going on with Aeonkat, as (this is just imo) she seems to have done quite a bit of turning in the past year. It seems to be getting worse (in regards to her rudeness and cattiness).

I agree.

I can claim a bunch of that, I've got thyroid issues and sleep issues and sure can get very irritated, however, it's on me to censor myself to say my belief, opinion, etc. in a civil way. Maybe if I just let it all out without controlling myself, I wouldn't have the high blood pressure issues.

I believe that there is a big difference in how things are said. Aeon and I were saying the same thing on the dog trash thread - shooting a dog for messing up trash would be wrong. However, it seemed that Aeon attacked the person, I don't feel like I did. In fact, I think I intentionally didn't attack.

I suppose this would be called nicey, nice, but, personally, I think my "nicey, nice" way is better. First, I think one is supposed to be kind to others, or at least try. Second, people are going to get distracted from the topic when one delivers their message in an offensive and/or hostile manner. Third, I think one loses credibility when one chooses not to behave with civility, the person may have some very valid points, but it will be overlooked because of their delivery or because of their history of poor. Perhaps that's just how I was raised or educated.

I have found Aeon's posts harsh at many times, perhaps I don't notice her nice posts, if any, as they don't stand out from the other posts. Maybe this is Aeon's way of being noticed. I haven't noticed a change, other than I haven't seen song lyric quotes in awhile.

I didn't find the op on this thread to be attacking Sassie at all, I did find Aeon to attack OP.

Well, what if she said to someone who was bipolar (manic depressive, PPD, PTSD, etc) "you're sick in the head" is that something that should be joked with?

The one difference I noticed is that kat seemed very upset in the 9/11 and even started accusing Quilty and I of some agenda to make her look a certain way. The whole time I thought we'd all been relatively calm . Anyway, it didn't really seem like her.

I've always owned my bitchiness those times that I was bitchy, too and apologized (which is more than I can say for quite a few). Perhaps my owning my attitude and/or apologizing for it to those who I have wronged means nothing to some (like Aeon, Beans, Sasha, etc.), but I think as a whole, the community accepts and welcomes me as a fellow mom, woman, breastfeeder, etc. complete with flaws and cantakerous nature from time to time. And that's good enough for me.
