We are getting a fuel check, since our gov't is raising gas and fuels even more. So they are giving each Canadian $100.00 to offset the tons we will be paying later.

We are supposed to be the first group to get it. Dhs ss is 01. But I know the IRS only does direct deposit on Fridays so it wont be until at least then, which is when the schedule says we are supposed to get it anyway.

Hamm, direct deposits for refunds are done on Fridays but the stimulus checks are going out this week, on 3 different days. I know people who have gotten theirs, by direct deposit, today. :)

DH has a 54, so I'm betting on next week for ours.

I can't figure out if I am even getting one. Odds are agaist it since I seem to be a chronic state of paying the IRS and never actually getting anything back.

I saw the forms online to calculate your amount but they don't apply since we don't file only 1040.

Ah well. It would be nice!

Nathan's ends in 88 and he's not scheduled to get his until the 2nd week of July. I know they're sending them out a week early, but I don't expect them to be 2 months early. It would be nice though.

Just an FYI if you used something like tubro tax or h&r block and had the fee for those services taken out of your refund you won't get direct deposit but will get a paper check instead. If you used those services and paid the fee with your credit or debit card and chose to have your refund direct deposited then you will get your rebate the same way.

Under certain circumstances, however, the IRS has decided that taxpayers can only get their rebates by mail, even if they get their refunds by direct deposit. At TurboTax, this will happen if you use a "refund transfer" when filing your 2007 return. This service lets you pay for your tax preparation and/or e-filing from your refund proceeds, for an additional fee, under an agreement with Santa Barbara Bank & Trust .



Bummer, I guess we'll be waiting until the end of the month. *sigh*

I would expect yours to be directly deposited if that is the option you used for your 2007 tax refund.

If your direct deposit information is on your return you are good to go, regardless of how you paid.

According to the irs website And the way I am reading it this is not true. If you used hings like H&R block and turbo tax etc and had their FEE for using their service taken out of your refund then you will get a paper check even though you choose to have your refund direct deposited.

Wait, we used efile and put it on my bank card. It wouldn't go into my bank account, would it? Nathan filed single since we're not married and his name is not on the bank account that we used to pay for the efile. Bah, I got my hopes up for a second there, but I bet he'll still get a paper check.

I really hope this is true. I did call the IRS this afternoon and the lady I spoke with said she had no knowledge of them sending checks because of how you paid for your taxes. We are *supposed* to get our money next Friday. I wont be holding my breath.
