Okay, I know you guys are tired of answering the same old sleep questions but I really need some answers. My DD barely sleeps during the day (20 min here and there) and she sleeps well at night. I try to put her down between 7:30 and 9 and sometimes it could be as late as 10:30pm but she sleeps. No matter what time I put her down, she wakes up between 1-1:30am and then again between 4-4:30am. She usually eats and then goes right back down. My question is; since she is waking at these scheduled intervals, is this her body's way of setting a schedule or what? I would like to get a little more sleep at night (I work a very demanding job) and was wondering if there was anything I could do or is this just something that I have to get used to?

It sounds like she's got a system that's working for her. If you're wanting more sleep at night, I'd try putting her down earlier, since you said she'll sleep whenever you put her to bed.

She is still little right? She is still needing those night time feedings. I would try getting her to bed earlier, making sure she has just been fed. You can also try nursing her right before you go to bed, instead of waiting until she wakes up. This may or may not work, but it is worth a try.

Sleep whenever she sleeps. She may be on her own schedule now but it will probably change. My little girl used to wake up every morning at 6am to nursing and coo for the first few months, she changed that and picked an earlier time. Just when you think you have em figured out they change.

Hope that helps. ;)

Can you pump so that your partner can get up for one of the feedings so that you only have to wake up once? Can you go to bed earlier yourself? These are two things I would try.
