DS is teething. He has two molars coming in and has been pretty miserable for several days now.

Well, last week we had high temps and then there was a sudden drop and ever since, he has been extree fussy. Well, yesterday morning he had a low grade fever and was snotty and sneezy and watery-eyed all day. We suctioned out his nose a few times at nap time and bed time so that he could nurse okay.

This morning he woke up with so much dried snot caked to his nose. :( I feel so bad for the little guy! I gave him a warm bath in a steamy bathroom and have been putting Baby Rub (vapor rub for baby) on his back and chest. We've been alternating ibuprofen and acetaminophen, too, to help with the teething and the fever 'cause he's been so cranky and miserable.

I thought it might be allergies because he shows all the symptoms (runny, watery nose and eyes) but the pollen and mold have been really good lately.

Is there anything else I can do for the poor guy besides what I'm doing and frequently nursing?

It sounds like you are doing everything just right. Hugs to the little man.

Poor baby :( Jonah was up like every 10 minutes last night fussing, no joke. His nose gets congested too. All you can do is medicate and love. I give Jonah ibu and hylands when he is miserable.

Yeah, I forgot to mention we are doing teething tablets, too.

And BTW, for those who don't know, DS is almost 14 months.

When Jack gets like that we change the filter in the air conditioner vent. We use one that is supposed to reduce allergens in the house. I also give him Hyland's sniffles -N- sneezes. I hope your little one is better soon.

Molars already! Sheesh, my DD only has four teeth! We have alot of catching up to do in the teeth dept!

I hope your little man feels better soon. Have you tried the Vicks vapor plug in's? We use them when anyone is congested around here.

Good ideas, jacksmommy and Mrs. R! I will do both of those things as well. Unfortunately for me, I am congested and funky today too :(

Bless his heart. :( I was also thinking that a vaporizer or humidifier might help. I've used the vapor plugs, too, and they seemed to help.

Have you tried a warm, steamy bath before bedtime?
